As the day for oyo state pdp congress draws near,the battle for the governorship ticket of the party is getting keener and tighter. The battle is closely seen to be between a former gov of the state alao akala ,a former senator teslim folarin and a young billionaire who according to reports is leaving no stone unturned in order to prove doubters wrong he is engineer seye makinde . Calculations and permutations have been rife and ongoing and accoording to bookmakers the pendulum could swing in favour of any of the 3 contestant. The outcome of oyo pdp state congress is seen as the major deciding factor of whether ajimobi will retain his seat or not. leadership of the All
Progressives Congress (APC)
on the forthcoming
governorship election in Oyo
State, former Oyo State
Governor, Senator Rashidi
Ladoja, will also meet with
wife of the President, Dame
Patience Jonathan, in Abuja
today.
ýA reliable source disclosed
to The Nation that the
meeting is aimed at offering
Ladoja the governorship
ticket of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) for
2015.
He contested on the
platform of the Accord in
2011 and lost.
Ladoja left the PDP for
Accord in 2011.
He has since maintained the
status of a national leader of
the party.
The source said that the
meeting would also have in
attendance former governor
of the state, Otunba
Adebayo Akala and former
Senate Leader, Teslim
Folarin, also contesting for
the ticket.
The source revealed that
the meeting is at the
instance of the Minister of
State for FCT, Ms Jumoke
Akinjide.
According to the source, the
meeting is meant to seek
the presidency’s nod to
have Ladoja run as
gubernatorial candidate of
the PDP in Oyo State in
