MTN And Their Nonsense Fuji Caller Tune by akamu2014: 12:47am On Oct 24, 2014
MTN...and their fuji music..
It is no longer news that telecommunication giants MTN owned by South African trades association, has been playing pranks on millions of Nigerians.
This indecent act of unnecessarily subscribing one to caller tune, without the user requesting for it has been on the bane for a while.
Latest of their pranks, is to subscribe millions of people to this fuji (nonesense, and useless tune)...Several attempts have been made by calling their call centre, and all they say is "we would deactivate it"....but after which they would reactivate it without your consent....
At the end of the day, #50 is deducted from your account, and you automatically pay for what you don't want...
Obviously someone is making money somewhere from this caller tune.. which is either the musician that sang the song or MTN executives....
It's a simple game, sing a song, take it to them. They ask people to subscribe for it. When a lot of people have subscribe, you go with your share either 60-40 percent deal. This means if one million people subscribe to your song as caller tune...They deduct #50 from one person, this means 50 million naira. Then the composer of the song takes some percentage (30 or 40% of that money) depending on the agreement...
This is Nigeria. Nigerians always love to keep quiet when they are being cheated on. Lets say no to this cheating....Not even when it is a fuji nonsense music......

Very simple to deactivate...If am right, the tune you talking about it the "777 is a number"......Well just text "del777 to 4100"...and that's all, If it isn't working, goto any of their connect stores and lodge a complain, I prefer that to calling 180 as some of the agents that attend to calls are "daft" at times.
