These little-known facts will surprise and intrigue you. You might not even believe some of them but they are as true as truth can get.

1. The Brain Of Women Shrinks During Pregnancy

The brains of pregnant women appear to shrink during late pregnancy, according to research which offers an explanation for cognitive problems some women complain of before and after giving birth. The doctors at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London found that it can take up to six months for the women’s brains to regain their full size.

The researchers found that as the woman’s body and physiology returned to the non-pregnant state, their brains increased in size. It is possible that their brains were swelling from a normal state.

In addition, the team found that the pituitary gland, which lies at the base of the brain, showed the opposite effect – increasing in size during pregnancy, when it is responsible for producing reproductive hormones – and then diminishing in size in the months after pregnancy.

2. When Aroused, The Vagina Can Expand To Around Twice Its Normal Size.

Unaroused, the average vagina is about three to four inches deep. But during se.x it can expand to about twice as big. That’s partially because of a process called vaginal tenting, which is what happens when you get aroused.

When women become aroused, there’s more muscular tension in the body, that muscular tension draws the uterus upward, creating more space in the vagina lengthwise.

3. Not all Women Are Born With Hymens.

Hymens range in thickness and amount of coverage. What this means: You can’t actually tell if someone is a virgin or not by doing a “hymen check,”

Sorry guys, if she tells you she is a virgin, it would be best if you don’t insist on seeing blood.

4. Your Vagina Won’t Be Noticeably Different After You Have Babies.

There is actually no statistical difference in average recorded vaginal size between women who’ve had babies and women who haven’t, according to fairly groundbreaking research published in 1996.

So, no, the vagina of pregnant women is no larger the normal vagina

5. A Woman’s Uterus (Also Known As A Womb) Expands To More Than 500 Times Its Normal Size Over The Course Of A Pregnancy

The uterus will also undergo a dramatic increase in weight, from around an ounce or two to a couple of pounds!

This organ’s remarkable ability to stretch is partially made possible because it is anchored to the pelvis by a number of strong ligaments. These round ligaments attach to the sides of the pelvis and are able to stretch accordingly as the uterus grows.

After the elastic female structure has finished ballooning to house a fetus, it will return to back to its prepregnancy size and weight.

6. Some Women Are Born With Two Vaginas

Hazel Jones, a 27-year-old from High Wycombe, has a rare, but not unheard of condition called uterus didelphys, which is not easily diagnosed until a woman’s sex organs develop as she enters puberty.

The condition occurs in about one in 3,000 women, according to the World Health Organization. Women can have children, although they are more apt to require a C-section section, as babies are often born breech.

Often it is diagnosed when women have reproductive or infertility problems, but some women may go on to have children and never know they had the condition. Surgery can also repair a vagina with a septum, though scarring or perforation can occur.

She declined a $1 million offer to appear in an adult film

7. The Vagina Is Acidic

The pH of the vagina is quite acidic, averaging around 4.5 on the pH scale (7 is neutral). That’s about as acidic as beer or tomatoes.

Busy microbe communities in the vagina maintain this acidity. For example, lactobacillus, a group of lactic acid-producing bacteria, dominates the ecosystem in many women’s vaginas.

These beneficial bacteria and their acidic output likely keep nasty bugs from moving in and colonizing the place.

8. Women Hear Differently From Men

According to research conducted at the Indiana University School of Medicine, men listen with only one side of the brain, while women use both.

This is not to say that one is more capable than the other, but it sure does add fuel to the argument that women are better listeners

9. The Clitoris Grows Throughout A Woman’s Life.

After menopause the clitoris can become 2.5 times larger than it was when the same woman was a teenager.

No wonder that some women have stronger orgasms in mid life and into their fifties and beyond!

10.The Clitoris Contains The Highest Amount Of Nerve Endings In The Body

The clitoris contains 8,000 deliciously sensitive nerve endings, double the nerve endings in the glands of a pe.n.is. Sorry guys.
