Yeah very true most people don't understand that when you have a very large population it will be much easier for your economy to grow and being the largest doesn't make you the strongest, plus China almost have no experience in modern Warfare like America, I don't even think China could take on Israel, and a lot of Chinas military strength is based on stolen/copied tech, their ability to improve that tech and produce very large quantities of it.

nope,these werent empires!,these were kingdoms...syria was an empire,egypt was an empire,assyria/babylon was an empire,persia and media was an empire,rome was an empire,axum was an empire...these were the empires of the mid-ages with enough influence and power to qualify as empires...its right that every country in the world was once an{or part of an} empire,but most of them were defunct as they didnt carry enough influence and power to affect the world,so i simply refer to them as kingdoms.e.g america has never been an empire,it evolved out of a kingdom

I think you should learn how to differentiate both. An empire contains many kingdoms and it is ruled by an emperor, The Emperors laws are enforced by client kings or governors (like the Romans) and they are usually Multi-ethnic So if you say Germany and Russia were Kingdoms, what empire were they part of? These nations are Mutli ethnic and different regions have always have their own kings/leaders etc.

perhaps...it depend on how powerful the kingdom is,for example,the babarian kingdom of the east,had control over many tribes,rulers and regions,they later waged war against rome{this was part of what led to the decline of rome} into the later days of rome,when rome was divided into east rome and west rome.same were the picts,who resisted conquest by the romans,and later attacked britain.but i concur,after further research,that there were indeed empires in the west and north{though not very powerful,as they didnt last long}.

while that is possible,it is highly unlikely,you say the US military will be the mightiest on the planet,with almost 65% of the world's defence budget a year,but as the economy of other countries grow,the investment in science and tech increases,the military budget also grows.the US is currently spending such amount on military tech. because they have the biggest and strongest economy in the world ,but with economical giants like china and japan rising fast,the US wouldnt enjoy top spot for long.
