The Kwara State Police Command has arrested three men from a six gang group who robbed the family of the former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Bayo Lawal, in Ilorin.

As stated by Punch, the suspects Samuel Olawale, Segun Ogunjobi and Alhaji Danjuma Abu who were paraded by the state commissioner of police, Mr Salihu Garba said it was their first operation and they were influenced by their friends.

Speaking with the suspects:
Ogunjobi, a barber said "I live at Ojuelegba in Lagos. I only came here for visit when a friend
lured me into taking part in this robbery.
