Wayne Rooney was sensationally after resuming from half-time in Manchester United's pre-

season friendly against FC Porto in Amsterdam.


The striker had scored a goal for the Red Devils before jumping for a header with Porto

defender Pepe's and receiving a red card for a raised arm.

Just as it was the last time he faced Portuguese Ronaldo in the World Cup just over a

month ago.

Rooney had no choice but to head for the dressing room after waiting in vain to see the

incident again on the giant TV screen.

Paul Scholes was also sent off, for a late challenge, but it was unclear if it was a second-

yellow card offence or a straight red.

Both players could miss the start of the season.

Pls lets be a little cautious in condemning him cos i learnt it was an undeserved Red card, well maybe because of his bad boy reputation moreso it was a friendly why was the Referee so eager to wield the big axe

Sorry to dissapoint you, soccer is not totally about temperament at all. because even the greatest of footballers had their own failings too, George Best, Diego Maradona, even most recently Zizou, but yet their greatness remains intact but that is not to say i believe Rooney either at age 20 or older should not be level-headed but some of these players atimes suffer certain things like personality disorders and afterall they are as humane as we are and i can bet you its never easy being a Star 

On a serious note y"all commenting that havent seen the incident should watch it Rooney was really hard done by


i watched the game yesterday and his eyes were on the ball the entire time, just unfortunate that he caught the Porto player whilst jumping for the header, speaking of which that Pepe fella went down like a bean pole axed!  


and that red card decision by the referee was an absolute disgrace 

Later, they will say we gooners are not objective, see us coming to the defence of the poor boy and no Red Devil has said a thing about the issue

The gay referee just wanted to make a name for himself by sending Rooney off.
I was so disappointed in the officiating it nearly made me puke.
Man Utd's 9 men still went on to pulverise Porto by 3 goals to 1.

Rooney's red card of yesterday was the most undeserved card in the history of football.
His eyes were on the ball thruout the incident but a visually-impaired wimp of a goddang ref thought otherwise.

That card was in no way deserved.The porto player was not even interested in getting the ball,he was just waiting for rooney to land.
Porto players have been taught by the best in that aspect!
