Yeah. I understand what you mean, some brands of phone charge faster with the conventional 1A (infinix, Tecno, Gionee etc) while Xiaomi, Samsung etc charge faster via the 2A port.

This is from personal experience. Kindly tell us your phone model

Seems you are right. My device is an Infinix Note 4
I get about 20% charge in an hour from the 1A port.

It just means that phone wasn't equipped to charge fast under 5v 2a.
No dey put am for that port again, make you no go spoil your phone o.
