A prototype of a fully-functional flying car is shown for the first time at a technology festival in Vienna on Wednesday. The six-metre-long AeroMobil 3.0 is made of steel and carbon and is said to have a flight range of 544 miles with a top ground speed of 124mph. Its Slovakia-based manufacturer says it has successfully conducted a test-flight and expects its vehicle to comply with European regulations on cars and light aircraft

Underneath the layers of carbon fiber in its shell and wings, the AeroMobil sports a rugged steel tube frame and sturdy suspension, best suited for rough landings and potholes alike. Inside, the craft boasts advanced avionic equipment, an autopilot feature, and rapid parachute deployment system.

Test flights began in October and, judging by the video below, it appears to be acing all trials with flying colors. Granted, the AeroMobil 3.0 is still just a prototype, though we suspect the wealthier amongst you may be able to order one sooner than you might think.

I must but this, no more latsma, traffic etc

The major problem it has is that it needs about 200m of road before take off so if you are in traffic you definitely wont be able to take off.In nigeria you'll probably get very few roads that will allow you run consistently for 200m without slowdowns caused by potholes.

I guess u'd probably take off from home, if u feel there'd be traffic* lol

That shouldn't be a problem. Just be sure you have Lagos traffic radio in-place, giditraffic updates pouring in...and when you are about to leave the office on the Island as others approach the 3MB to start crawling you also do same but use the first free parts of 3MB to help your car become airborne...
