It is widely believed 'you should be happy just because you are young',to some extent this might seem
true-the youthful vibes, the unequal strength, the passion-but sometimes it ain't true.
The demand on us is getting on the increase-they demand we peform well in school, they demand we make
'them' proud, not considering the fact that we also want to do good-I mean instead of helping us with our
dreams, they shatter us for our grades.
Some of them even go as far as choosing for us our life career-you must be a Doctor! I want you to
follow my trend as an Engineer! are all what we ear from them-.They say these without asking us what we
really want to do with our lives- I mean without studying us and noting our strength to advice us on
where we can really succeeed-Some of us are living our lives for them.If we do all what you want when are
we gonna live our lives!-are we to do the same to our children?- No, it must stop. This is our life and we
've got to live it for ourselves and not for you!
Some of us are out there with no support, struggling to meet end needs, doing irrational jobs we are
not meant for, and with what we make from these jobs we enroll in school to be a better person, only for
some of them that call themselves 'Lecturer' to say we ain't gonna graduate. All this have to stop, we 've
got feelings! and you are hurting us with your 'ego'.
Am calling on everyone of us, no matter what they do to us, we aint gonna break.-You are strong!
no matter what they say, You are intelligent! You are beautiful! You are fabulous! So let's rally round
and help each other. We ain't gonna let them turn us against each other.
Stand up for yourself! Stand up for your peers!! Stand up for your nation!!!
