CHIBOK GIRLS CAPTURE BY BOKO HARAM ARE BEEN USED AS A BAIT BY THE PDP TO GARNER SYMPATHY VOTE FOR 2015 GENERAL ELECTION – JOE IGBOKWE
How I wish all this politicians with their individuality and sense of shame will have a second thought that they are a part of a failed Nation that failed to protect our children and sisters instead of politicising the unfortunate incident at every point when the issue is been tackled . I was dumbfounded when I watched the interview of Lagos APC spokesperson in person of Joe Igbokwe on air (TVC , 6:40pm on 02/11/2014) few days ago, he drew his conclusion on the ceasefire attempt by the federal government that” the chibok girls capture by the BOKO HARAM sect are been used as a bait by the PDP to garner sympathy vote for the 2015 election” . It is unfortunate that both the ruling political party and opposition political parties leaders , in its self-centred desperation for power, has revealed their total lack of the spirit of Nationalism and statesmanship in its public comments on the challenges of insurgency in the North East.
It’s been 207 days since Boko Haram militants kidnapped more than 200 girls from a school in the country's northeast. The schoolgirls went missing on April 14, when Boko Haram militants raided their Chibok boarding school. On Oct. 17, the Nigerian government raised hopes of their return by announcing a ceasefire with the insurgents, but militant attacks have continued unabated and the schoolgirls remain in captivity. If Over 70, 000 security operatives, including 15,000 soldiers, 30,000 policemen, 8,000 operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) and 20,000 civil defence officers could be deployed to Osun State ahead of the 2014 governorship election, a state population of 3,416,959 I think the federal government needs to step up its strategy in capturing the insurgent group. 13 local governments in Borno, three in Adamawa and others in Yobe are currently under the control of Boko Haram. Going by intelligence reports, if the Federal Government did not step up its security measures the fall of the three states would only be a matter of days or weeks.
The North-East may soon fall under the control of Boko Haram unless the Federal Government adopts more stringent measures to deal with the insurgency and seek for joint effort of all Nigerians in fighting the insurgency to finish. It should be seen as a collective effort and not a one man show.

But advance intelligence (WAEC) warned the APC jan.ja.wee.d governor and his commisioner for education to relocate the student three months to the exam. As usual the jan.ja.wee.d governor turn to deaf and dumb. Now who is to blame? The governor is closer to the people or the presidency far away in abuja

How sure are we that the message was actually conveyed to the governor. Moreover this is not the time to put blames on any individual but to pool all concerted efforts towards fighting insurgency to finish together as a Nation.

I will tend support ur opinion. This is not the time to apportion blames or accusation but a period of action . But with the recent actions of the military, I seem to believe that the fg may have intentionally temporarily scaled down its all out offensive against boko haram due to upcoming elections. An all out offensive against boko haram now will definitely have it human toll both civilians and military and this maybe used by parties to campaign the president. It seems the fg just wants to contain boko haram to the areas they control presently till after elections.
