Sir, if both Nigeria and Congo win, both will have 10 points. Then the 1st tie-breaker would be GD. At the moment, Nigeria has +2, Congo has -1.

So if Congo beat Sudan 4-0, their GD will rise to +3. If Nigeria beat SA by 1-0, our GD would also be +3. With GD being tied, Nigeria will clinch 2nd spot by virtue of the greater number of goals scored in our 2 matches against Congo (4-3).

However, if Congo beat Sudan 5-0, the GD would be +4; and if SE only beat SA 1-0, our GD would be +3. By virtue of the superior GD in this instance, the Congolese would clinch 2nd spot in the group.

Oh ! My goodness I haven't seen this kind of analysis. Wish people would be good in analyzing situations before plunging . Kudos bro. Though I didn't understand just like the numbers.

No long thing! The FIFA rule adopted by CAF even UEFA says head to head first in case of points tied. Goal difference will only be applicable if they can't be separated by head to head rule.

In 2006,we had better GD when compared to Angola but Angola qualified for Germany 2006 World cup on head-to-head rule

What's misleading in what he wrote chairman read it properly! If eagles fail yo beat south africa and Congo wins Sudan, then they would be through, 3 points clear. In fact the odds might be slightly tilted towards them.
Actually, I was referring to his earlier post on the use of goal difference ahead of head to head rule to separate ties

3. Egypt in group G 6 pts +0.
Congo can still qualify if they win away in Sudan on Wednesday as best third. We will simply qualify by beating SA in Uyo. Any scoreline will do it for us.

yeah, correct! They are currently best third placed along with Guinea and Egypt. As for Naija, their hope is in their own hands.

CAF uses head to head, based on that Nig will qualify if they beat SA.

Onazi wasn't doing his job, he had to call him to order. Its not unusual, I can still remember the words exchanged between Dunga and Bebeto in France 98 World cup
