It would be noted that Tambuwal’s move caused a
highly-publicized scandal in Nigeria’s politics. Today
as he spoke at the 6th anniversary celebration of
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, the
politician explained that the dumped the ruling party
because the system had been “hijacked” by a
“cabal”, The Nation reports.
He concluded that such system needed to be
changed.
“We have accepted to join the movement of
progressives to change the system. The system
today is malfunctioning and has failed in several
ways. You have to change a system that is not
working. We have a cabal that has hijacked the
instrument of authority. We should vote them out in
February. What do the people of the South South
have to show for voting the President? Nothing.”
Tambuwal expressed concern that people from the
South South may vote for the leader in 2015
elections based on the sentiments saying however
that mere sentiments would not produce a good
leader. Thus, the speaker urged people not to be
deceived by sentiments.

Its a pity our president iڪ aware of the cabal. He has always talked about it. During the subsidy days, he was always saying there was a cabal behind the oil money. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to confront or challenge them. Perhaps we should blame Nigerians who didn't allow GEJ to remove the subsidy as that was the only way our president felt he could deal with the cabals.......

I wonder if its not the cabals that are sponsoring the Re-election bid.....

Tambugoat was the speaker, if he saw some problems with the running of the country, which bill did he propose all this while to correct the situation, none.

He may think he can fool us but everyone knows he only left because politics in his sokoto state is leaning towards APC. He left to APC for the selfish reason of securing his political future, he should stop lying that he left because of some problem with the running of the country or pdp

Because he was not part of the Cabal, he had to move to a place where he will be easily cabalized.
I'd rather spend my time counting the number of trees in Sambisa than on defective and deceptive politricks

A woman who wants to divorce the husband will always have a 'cogent' reason. Tambuwal will return to PDP when 'the instrument of authority in APC is hijacked'. 90% of members who leave PDP always return to the party. When they go out, they discover like the proverbial frog that there are two kinds of water.

Political excuse.

He should just be wary of his speech until his defection case becomes finally striked out in court.
The only geniune reason that is allowed by the law for a speaker to defect is in the event of division in the ruling party, and this your reason does not corroborate with that.

This guy should better mind his speech or further indicts himself and ruin his political chances.

Tomorrow someone will come here to tell me he defected because there was division in the PDP.
This reason must be interpreted in the courts if it is constitutional.
I didn't say it, Tambuwal did.
Anyways, he is not a member anymore and cannot convene the house; Status quo maintained.
