Hello folks, Please, i need some advice. Recently I have been trying to port from globacom to mtn. I thought I should give them a try especially because of their internet data plans. Etisalat and Airtel signals are rather poor in the places where I spend most of my time. I went to an MTN office to fill out a form. Was asked to send "Port" to 3232 and in 24 hours if I no longer had any network signal I should know that my request had pulled through and I was then to change to a new MTN simcard. My first request was sent 21 days ago. I got a reply 3 days telling me that my porting request had failed and I was to contact my new service provider. I went back to the MTN office where I had lodged the request to ask them what the problem was. I was told that there was a problem with the porting service. I didn't know what that meant. I was told to wait a couple of days and then send the request again. This turned out to be a very long wait. Nine days later I was told to send the `request again. I did but still had no response. I was still unable to port. Finally 3 days ago, Tuesday the 11th November I received a message from one of the representatives at an MTN office in Ibadan telling me to send the request again. This I did immediately. But the matter has taken a twist. That same day I was permanently disconnected from my initial service provider glo but I still am not with MTN. I am now in a quagmire; no longer on globacom, not yet in MTN. I have made repeated complaints to the MTN office and they keep telling me that they have done their bit. That the problem is not theirs. They had sent the request to the technical department and I am to be patient. I don't know how long I am supposed to exercise patience. It's been three days now without my only functional line. My business has suffered. It's taken all the discipline I can muster not to go that office to scatter the place. Folks please, I need your advice. |
