Rape In Nigeria by SweetnSour(f): 11:01pm On Nov 24, 2008
Just this month

A 65 yr old man raped a 3 yr old girl
A 17 yr old girl was raped by her high school teacher. She's pregnant and alone because her father kicked her out. The rapist is nowhere to be found.

And it goes on and on,
Why is it that we don't address issues like rape in Nigeria?
It is becoming rampant and uncontrollable.

It's high time we speak up and fight for our fellow females.

SPEAKUP Nigeria - all about our African women.

in order to help victims nigeria criminal court system must change the conditions that must be met before a rape case is prosecuted. according to one of their conditions a rape V. must a have a witness present at the time of rape, now how many ppl raped have their whole family present? most rapes happen in isolated areas where no one is present. how is this fair to someone who has just been violated? they need to have victims recovery programs or some assistances to help this women get through. and they need have more female police attending to those courageous women who have to gut to report their crimes. in order to help victims changes must be made in the system.
