At this point, I am tempted to refer to Olusegun Obasanjo (OBJ) as a ‘slimy’ and ‘strategic’ politician whose political moves have become highly unpredictable. Little wonder, Speaker House of representative – Aminu Tambuwal has followed suit after defecting from PDP to APC. Like the saying goes; “birds of a feather, flock together”.

Just this week on Tuesday, as we were all engrossed in President Goodluck Jonathans (GEJ) declaration to run for 2nd tenure, Tambuwal seized the opportunity to pick a nomination form under the platform of APC the same day, taking advantage of the less publicity. Nobody saw the move coming as no one would obviously not suspect that OBJ is either planning a defection to APC or that he wants to actually use APC as a tool to reconstruct PDP which is more likely.

OBJ is obviously advising Tambuwal and he is controlling most of the political moves made by most politicians as we earlier sited in the person of Tambuwal. Few weeks ago IBB came back from Germany following his medical treatment. Upon arrival he immediately went into a closed door meeting with OBJ after which OBJ summoned Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar. After the Duo had had their closed door meeting with OBJ, Tinubu is now being compelled to throw his support to Tambuwal.

I ask, what leverage does OBJ and IBB have over Tinubu that would make him dump Buhari for Tambuwal? Obasanjo has once again displayed his political prowess.

Hence the big question? Why is Obasanjo supporting Tambuwal when obviously Tambuwal is a presidential candidate under the platform of APC and OBJ is a chieftain of PDP?

This could either mean two things:

That OBJ is planning a defection to APC, as APC seems stronger than PDP. OR
Tambuwal is OBJs spy for PDP, who will defect back to PDP ‘if’ and ‘when’ he wins the presidential elections in 2015, thereby making a public display of APC.
To back this up, why would Atiku Abubakar (AA) say to the public that he is in a good relationship with OBJ [READ NEWS HERE]. Is it really necessary to go as far as posting a picture of his political romance with OBJ on twitter? What exactly is he trying to prove to Nigerians? And in what way exactly is he indebted to Obasanjo?

My opinion is that 2015 elections would be highly unpredictable. Even after a presidential aspirant wins, the after math would be still unpredictable.

We all can recall how OBJ made a public display of Atiku as regards corruption during his tenure as president and how he refused that Atiku work under him as vice president claiming that he – Atiku- is too corrupt to rule Nigeria as a vice president. OBJ even went as far as indicting Atiku on, BBC interview ‘Hard Talk’. Why then Is there a sudden display of political romance with the two unlike poles who once repelled each other?



HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION:

What exactly is ‘in’ for Atiku since he is an APC chieftain and a presidential aspirant under the platform of APC, knowing full well that Tambuwal has OBJs full support and go ahead order? Hence he knows he – Atiku- will surely lose. So what is his take home gift?

Therefore I can categorically state the following conclusions:

1. If APC will lose in the upcoming 2015 presidential elections in February it would be the doing of OBJ and IBB which is simply the GRAND PLAN – to put a ‘nobody’ in APC who would win the APC primaries but lose in the main presidential election, thereby leaving the presidency to a PDP candidate.
2. OBJ is slimy and unpredictable who is actually beating the drums for Tambuwal his new pet toy.
3. Atiku already knows his fate as regards the 2015 elections, which is that he will surely lose. So what is his cut out cake?
4. Atiku might be a ‘spy’ which we all might not know because it is highly unlikely that OBJ will leave his baby, PDP.
5. Tambuwal having the full support of OBJ, IBB and Tinubu has a higher likelihood of winning the APC primaries.
6. OBJ is either planning a defection from PDP to APC or that he wants the use an APC president to regain the position of PDP after the supposed victory of APC in 2015
7. Tambuwal’s unpredictable move stem from OBJs advises.
8. OBJ possibly has leverage over Tinubu.
