Misterdhee1: They are educated.. The jobs he described are majorly for jobless youths without certificates..Isn't it better than, for them to be smoking nd constituting nuisance? You guys need to chill sometimes nd think! And he couldn't even think of something meaningful for the uneducated than dressing masquerades.. Has it ever occured to you that some uneducated ones are doing so well than the educated ones today?? Did they dress masquerades for a living?? If this is how you think.. You need factory resetting.. |

paschu: Ol boy keep quiet. No sane government should have any business building manufacturing plants in this century. In fact govt. should not preoccupy itself with direct job creation responsibilities.
It's just unfortunate that the average nigerian is so politicaly dead. Otherwise, can you mention one national enterprise in this country you can be proud of - just one? None had ever succeeded. So why waste money and national resources on nonsense political job creation when you can diversify the economy with incentive-driven policies that emphasize all inclusive economic growth with private-sector-first participation philosophy?
Igbo people say that a dog that's owned by the community usually dies of starvation.
Well, perhaps that explains why the individual tends to thrive more in that part of the country. I Guess it's high time the Fed. took a cue and quit delluding the gullible masses with its empty promises of massive job creation. Even in the communist China, the private sector still drives the industry and labor. They don't understand at all bro, what's so laughable is that some so called intellectuals came out to analyse the inexplicable... Na now i know say APC jazz still hold some people tight pass their babe... |

bloodyBLOGGER: How one masquerade can create jobs for 1000 people www.nairaland.com/3083962/lai-mohammed-masquerade-create-jobs When I opened the above thread where Alh Lai Mohammed made a statement that one masquerade can create jobs for 1000 people, I was surprise by the comments that came from people about the statement. The comments showed how poor the intelligence of the Nigerian youth is as they made a jest of his statement, some out of ignorance while others were mostly out of hate for the man cos he belongs to a party that kicked their own party out of power thereby blocking all corrupt avenues they were reaping from e.g ghostworker salary. A very intelligent mind would have scrutinized the statement very well and would have realised the lack of need to criticize but attest to the idea. But these people suffering from post-election trauma lack the capacity to reason in such a sophisticated manner, hence their open show of the illiteracy bestowed on them by 16yrs of rot. Now, to the statement "one masquerade can employ 1000 people". How is this achievable? Shallow minds would expect that the single masquerade will open a company and send out job adverts for unemployed youths like them to apply. Such is hardly the case. A festival for masquerades is quite an opportunity for businesses to thrive, but our problem is that we have been very myopic by doing things the same way and expecting different results. Let's say such festival spans for 2weeks; below are the opportunities it can open if we truly value such culture as much as to transform its festival by investing heavily in it. First, each masquerade can be endorsed or branded by a corporate company thereby having the masquerade's attire designed to show the logo of the company e.g GUINNESS. That will fetch the masquerade some big box in tune of millions. The ordinary masquerade of yesterday with just 2 drummers can now employ a trumpeter, a keyboardist, a flutist and any modern musical instrument player(remember, we are doing it in a different way this time around). Once Nigeria Breweries see that Guinness is keying into the idea, they too might decided to sponsor a group of masquerades who are also going to have their own band. With top bottling companies present at an event that could witness up to a hundred thousand viewers, be sure to have drinks flowing. That's where female ushers come in. Campus girls can take that role which gives them a job experience to write in their CV. MTN or Airtel might jostle to be the event's official network. This might make them to consult an outsourcing firm to help recruit new hands for a contract job to cover the event. The attire the workers of these companies will wear to the event will be sewn by some individuals who will have some change to pocket. With these companies swinging in, the media will beam their light on the event thereby popularising it to the extent of attracting the interest of foreigners who will invest in it. What if it is done in such a way that the masquerade event is used by mobile phone companies like Slots and 3Chub to showcase their products for sale? The large turnout won't be wasted. Stands will be sold to them as they employ in-store promoters to enlighten customers about the phones. I hope you are putting the pieces together and finally getting the picture. Now, count the amount of festivals we have in Nigeria, those for masquerades and those for others and imagine them branded or sponsored. It will really be great. Mind you, the famous English premier league EPL started of with some folks kicking a round object, now it has become Barclay's Premier League BPL with so many other sponsors. The same way adidas or a Nike endorses Wayne Rooney is the same way a company in Nigeria or from abroad can endorse chukwuemeka or gbenga who are really the ones behind the mask. So, before you criticise next time, think deeply. This post is for intelligent minds alone. Written by Adewole Segun You are just wasting your analytical prowess on a senseless and non profitable venture jare.. |

Back to the topic
What lai said.. . Was that.. A certain masquerade in the south East can create job for 1000 youths in a week, IF NICELY PRESENTED, I want some to spot the lie here.. .. .. people are so Myopic in reasoning
As for the pencil thing, that's a big industry that can generate over 10,000 jobs
And if PDP has started the manufacturering we won't need to spend much imported something we can produce
Let's start from the little once we can first.. . And grow . Oga giramma if dem advertise masquerade job you go apply?? |

ogmask: The directive is "arrest black marketers selling on the road side" ,and not that pple shouldn't buy for their gen/Jerry can directly from the filling stations. The police command has issued a statement on this. For those talking about their diesel gen set, sorry, you got it all wrong. AGO is deregulated. My advise: pple should read and understand bfor misleading others ignorantly. People are making these comments because that's the reality on ground, filling stations have simply refused to sell to people in Jerry Cans and they claim it's an order from the I.G that's why you are seeing these comments... The masses are seriously suffering and no one is batting an eyelid... |

You all should just shut the f**** up . What the hell was the yeye IG doing when he gave that order?? He should stop those selling on the road and not this... We don't have light and people are trying to get fuel for their generating sets yet mofos like these Op are busy acting good citizens.. The hustlers are still selling on the road not the suffering masses.... MtttcchhEeeww!!!! |
