Trust is a very important issue in leadership, particularly on a fledgling democracy such as we have in Nigeria.

Many citizens do not trust their leaders and the leadership itself is ridden with several squabbles, take-over bids and party intrigues.

In Ogun State today, there is high mistrust between the incumbent APC governor and the people of Ogun State who are not sure of how much the state is owing and the next terrible policy that the government would pursue. They are not even sure if their interests matter a bit to the present government.

This is better highlighted in one statement of the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun who stated that, "Performance without humanity is nonsense. The so-called performance on meaningless projects is in itself corruption. Accordingly, those who are heavily corrupt do more grandiose projects to obfuscate their thievery. This is what today is decorated as performance."

There is high mistrust in Ogun PDP(a gathering of strange bedfellows), the SDP (a gathering of selfish and self seeking individuals).

Which one of the political parties can then be trusted?

None, except the party that can be formed from the scratch, the political party that would have me and you as members, the political party which won't be led by a wicked and corrupt individual like SIA or a drug baron like Buruji or even an abusive self seeking person like Osoba.

The Labour Party today is devoid of the regular politicians whose interest is to milk the state dry and serve the clique of borgouise.

We can have trust in the Labour Party if we can take our destinies in our own hands by joining the Political Party across the State since it was formed to cater for the masses and all cadre of workers who toil day and night with little or nothing to show.

The simple ideology of the Labour Party is to have "you and me" ,the common men, market women, traders, barbers, civil servants, students, vulcanisers, other workers and the masses at large, to form a gathering of social democrats who benefit directly from their sweat and positive impact on the society.

In our different capacities, we all are leaders in our own rights. We all own our wards, Local governments and State. Yet we have forsaken politics and governance for too long criticising the government without playing our own roles. We have mortgaged our destinies putting it in the hands of political merchants who share the gains of our pains and sweat.

The Labour Party is the voice of the Masses, a movement of social democrats formed on Marxism.

Let us rise up to be part of the political process to save our generation from political merchants by joining the new real LABOUR PARTY in Ogun State.

It can be SIA lekansi when you benefit from the corruption that has destroyed the economic fabric of the state. Some are born slaves and they would live all their lives as one.
