Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi says playing in Congo was like 'playing in an evil forest', in the aftermath of the Super Eagles' 2-0 win over the Red devils in Pointe-Noire. Read full story>>>http://www.naijaballer.com/?p=19079

. Its time we let go, I wasn't happy with him either due to the fact that he dropped Uche who was doing fine in one of the best league in the world couple with the poor performance the super eagle displayed in this qualifying series. Trust me he has done a good job, to have beat congolese team, all he needs now is a finshing touch, I dont know how fast you forgive and forget things but if you have a very reasonable point for criticising him, well I will love to see things from your own perspective.
Uche is back, the team won in congo, we await the battle between the bafana bafana and the super eagles, I think what the team needs now is prayer. All round in the game of football nigeria is doing good. Falcons and falconet gave an impressive performance in there respective outings, so let's wish the eagle well against the group leader.
Thank you

It was due to continuous bashing n lashing that made him brought back uche. when countries like Ghana, Morocco, SA, civ, zambia, BF etc, have a match, you could quote the sqaud. The reverse is the case for SE. till now keshi doesn't have a sqaud he doesn't know who field while he favours some even when they are not informed.

come wednesday you will see him parading faces with the excuse that he is building a team. Okay Our so called foreign based players even till now don't have a team play and there is a coach managing the team for a while now. how would a team who has played Nation cup, confederation cup, and world cup competition still play like a novice? it means the coaching crew r not performing. As a coach, he is supposed to discard 1 n half legged players and replaced them with better ones but because of favoritism he ignores. Not those dismal performances from ambrose n co.

Players are always agile when playing under a good coach in other not to loose their place in the team, but SE players r not because they tink they are irreplaceable.

(correct me if am wrong) We have seen fine players from our junior teams in recent past but we can't find any graduated into the present SE sqaud under Keshi the team builder.

I wish the Eagles well even in their disgraceful performances otherwise I wouldm't have placed a bet in their favour against Congo.

Well said " a team that went to confederations cup, the defending champion of the prestigious orange AFCON still without a crystal clear first eleven. You made a good point there, well let keep our fingers cross and wait to see what will hapen against the south africans. To me getting the ticket to defend the trophy with the best nigeria football player is the goal.
You did have a good justification I must say.

I know your likes ....the type that started watching football with the advent if Abramhovic to EPl baby football analyst......
Now tell me all those stupid teams you mentioned up there that you claim you can guess their first eleven and use their best legs like the Ghana's and Ivory Coast and Morocco s of this world what have they achieved with their teams since Keshi took charge of Eagles that he ( Keshi) has not surpassed.

You wanted him qualify for Afcon2013 he qualified, you wanted at least a semifinal showing in the Accon proper , he won it, you wanted World cup qualification he delivered ,you wanted a decent showing in the World Cup, he equalled the best showing that our best ever Eagles ever had with far less quality players, now you want another Afcon qualification, he's still in the running yet you complain like the man with legs but no shoes.

Silly Nigerians the bulk of the present team are basically been in the tram for about 2.3 years yet you are talking about young players not being integrated into the team . Which better young professional player has the age grade football thrown up in 2 years........and just before you mention Iheanacho ( which is what men oc your class clamour) I will ask you to pls tell me of any competitive match he has played in his life as a professional footballer wey be say na Afcon qualifier he wan play.
All you naysayers and silly complete sport vendor analyst should let Keshi do his job. He's the coach not you .

@the bolded, the way we compare our country to countries who haven't achieved even up to what we have achieved in the last three years is appalling. sorry to say this, your post is so biased and lacks substance

I could have easily listed top European n South American teams but our emphasis is on AFCON qualifiers, the likes of SA, BF, Zambia e.t.c have all qualified why is qualification so difficult for SE team. SE managerial approach is very lame compared with the listed teams, there is no room for transition too. My grievance is focused on the coach not the team, please understand me. Players don't assemble themselves in readiness to a match, a coach do. Players come players go, the team remains Super Eagles. Can we also say the same for coach? So it is the responsibility of the coach in charge to do his homework, get a list of tested players and select his team. 2.3 years running with SE yet he is still testing players.

If you are on a live telecast and you are asked the tactical approach of your coach with our last match as a case study, can you give an answer without a collapse in thoughts? We could easily spot the tactic implored in the match btw home based SE vs Ghana in Akwa Ibom encounter.

My point is, Keshi is out of ideas he should be relieved off his duty. A good coach makes good decision, commands authority (not pride) and respect that is visibly seen in the player right on the field of play. Thank you

Am sorry to disappoint you but as long as keshi keeps grinding out results in very important matches, it will become more difficult to sack keshi, even the nff knows that and that's why nff wanted to stylishly removed him after the sudan game. Going back to your managerial issues with keshi, are u aware that this is the least talented bunch of Nigerian players we'ever heard even with the coming back of uche and may be martins or ihenacho, the managerial issues you are complaining about has to do with the attitude and approach of our players to the game. Our players are not up to scratch at all, they are all becoming too complacent, do you know that some folks are even saying that onazi, emenike and ambrose should be dropped? these are all regulars. Mikel with his brilliant performance against congo was even furious with onazi. These guys and others are the ones making keshi looks like a bad coach. A player can't give what he does not have you know, keshi has not run out of ideas, he simply does not have the players to execute his ideas, which of our players is a specialist in set piece? is it keshi that will teach set peices at this stage of their professional career? can you see the diemension aaron samuel has brought to the team? that is what emenike should be doing.

My brother keshi is not the problem, if he has his way, he will prefer the home lads that played against the Ghanaians but you guys will come up here again to accuse him of dropping our best players. Coaching in Nigeria is not easy and if we sack keshi, we would also have same problems with the new coach. Keshi has simply overachieved with the quality of players we have at our disposal presently. Outside Nigeria, keshi is seen as a great coach due to the kind of players we have now who are not world class. Let's be sincere.
