Seven ( 7) PDP members out of the 27 members of Ekiti state house of reps reconvened today to impeach the speaker, house of Rep. it could be recalled that Ekiti state has been under commotion ever since Peter Ayodele Fayose become the governor under the PDP platform. It is unimaginable that 7 members of the house could overrule the decision of 27 members. What then happens to the rule where 2/3rd of the house decision on a matter is taken? The same seven (7) PDP members that impeached the house of reps speaker are the same members that were in charge over governor Fayose commissioner nominees. Ekiti state is becoming more autocratic than democratic. The new speaker elected by the 7 PDP law makers is Adewale Olugbemi New deputy Speaker: Adunmi Olayinka. It’s about time someone calls governor Fayose to order. |
