away from Barcelona after an interview with Ole this
week. This has sparked hot debate in Spain on what
Messi’s potential next move will be.
Sensationally, Catalan Newspaper Mundo Deportivo
have claimed that Real Madrid president Florentino
Perez would love to sign the Argentine.
The Argentine forward has been at the Nou Camp for
his entire career so far after coming through the
club’s famed La Masia youth academy, and is now
regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
It is extremely rare for players to move between Real
and Barca, two of the most fierce rivals in world
football, though they have been notable exceptions in
the past.
It is claimed that Real president Perez has tried to
sign Messi in the past, though a specific date is not
given, and it is also suggested that he could try again
to do so in the future.
Mundo Deportivo report that Real Madrid will make a
fresh move for Lionel Messi after the Argentine
rejected a previous offer of £19.8m per season. Now
Real Madrid President Perez has decided to increase
the offered to £25m per season and a huge bonus
from Adidas each season.
It’s thought by Mundo Deportivo that Messi would
never cross over to join Madrid, but his current
situation in Barcelona is making things complicated
and Florentino Perez is interested and nothing will
stop him from trying.
