Delta State is rich in natural resources: Agriculture. Crude oil. Solid minerals. Educated workforce. Diverse ethnicity. The state's ethnic groups consist of: (1) ANIOMA IGBOS, subdivided into Enuani [Aniocha/Oshimili], Ukwuani [Ndokwa] and the Twelve Clans of Ika; (2) URHOBO; (3) ITSEKIRI; (4) ISOKO; and (5) EZON. The state is politically designated as South-South. Seven major languages are spoken in Delta State, which also has twenty-five Local Government Areas, and three senatorial districts: Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central. Notably, Delta State has twelve (12) Institutions of Higher Education.

Diversity requires elasticity of leadership. A diverse state needs a tough but tolerant leadership style. Diversity thrives on calm and consensus-building leadership. Delta must have a governor who can lead without being loud.

(1): SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR – Dr Olejeme is an expert at creating jobs, and creating business opportunities and practical community empowerment projects from the ground up. Her community projects operate on a traditional African motto: Simple. Safe. Sustainable. She has designed her poverty reduction projects to demonstrate her belief that vocational and skill-acquisition training enhances youths’ ability to find steady employment.
(2): EXPERIENCED ADMINISTRATOR – Dr. Olejeme is a tested public administrator who has led many large organizations, as well as restructured and revitalized under-performing parastatals. Her competencies have led to appointments to board membership of both private firms and governmental organizations, including to that of Board Chairman, Subsidy Re-Investment Program (SURE-P).
(3): PRACTICAL PHILANTHROPIST -- The Ngozi Olejeme Foundation donates generously to create projects to empower disadvantaged populations. The Widowhood Project addresses social cultural challenges facing widows by empowering them and other underprivileged women with skills and grants for trade. It is on public record that recently, The Ngozi Olejeme Foundation donated cash prizes to 200 widows in Asaba, Delta State, to enable them go into any business of their choosing.
