Our client is seeking a Social Media Marketing specialist to join our talented team that's making a difference in the ecommerce industry. We're looking for someone who doesn't shy away from a challenge, loves to be creative (and have fun!), has a passion for making a difference (preferably through education), and can help lead our social media and communication strategies to keep their brand as one of the most trusted, talked about brands in education advising.

This position is based in Lagos and will report to the head of marketing and media strategy.

• You are fluent in, and passionate about, social media, Web 2.0, technology, and online communities.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with all aspects of online social media campaigns. Research effective strategies, provide input on innovative strategies and help implement online campaigns.
• Assist in all areas of social media where our client currently has a presence and/or is expanding to. This includes day to day support, daily tasks, and various duties as assigned.
• Research and help complete a comprehensive competitive analysis.
• Assist in using Drupal and Google Analytics to prepare and analyze appropriate online metrics to track the success of current efforts and to inform future strategies.
• Help maintain online marketing and contact database. Create reports/dashboards and record all research in the database.
• Create a social media metrics dashboard in our marketing and online database and report back findings to the editorial and marketing teams.
• Provide excellent customer service support to our audience via social media
• Monitor activity on external blogs, forums, and various sorts of media sites.
• Be prepared to help with clients day to day social media presence
• Monitor impact, engagement, reach and traffic metrics within social media. Help prepare regular reports on social media efforts and referral traffic, and direct email and social media campaigns.

Experience, Skills, and Education:
• Liberal Arts major or Business related major with strong communication (verbal and written) and technical (Web 2.0) skills
• Any experience in online marketing and social media marketing is a plus
• Able to work both independently and as part of a functional team.
• A strong personal or professional interest in bettering international education.

Technical Skills:
• Experience with Google apps and database (Salesforce.com) experience a plus.
• 1-2 years' experience with social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Google+, LinkedIn and various other online communities

Physical Requirements:
• At least 90% of the job is spent on the computer
