ManCity striker Robinho looks set to return after an ankle problem.
Pablo Zabaleta (thigh) and Gelson Fernandes (hamstring) also come into contention, while Elano is back after a personal matter.
United striker Dimitar Berbatov is hopeful of being fit after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.
Paul Scholes (knee) is still out but Gary Neville (groin) could be available after missing the last fortnight.
