Atiku Abubakar, a former vice-
president and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the
governor of Kano state, are not in
support of the choice of Lagos as
venue for the APC presidential
primary scheduled for December 8.

In a document signed by both
aspirants and obtained by NAN in
Abuja on Tuesday, the presidential
aspirants said the relocation of the
primary was not convenient.

“Our party has paid for the Eagle
Square for December 7, 8, 10 and 11,”
the document read.

“This will enable our party to
maximally harvest the fallout of PDP
national assembly primary since we
have nothing to harvest from the PDP
presidential primary as they have only
one candidate.

“The proposed venue of Lagos is not
convenient for all; we therefore advise
that our party reverts to Abuja as the
venue.”

Unconfirmed reports had it that there
were disagreements on the choice of
venue between Abuja and Lagos, and
the party even recently chose Benin as
a neutral ground for the election.

While still not hitting the pavements of Nigeria to meet with the people and sell any kind of programme and vision, they have been busy struggling to recruit and lap up the political excreta of the PDP. Sometimes they don’t even wait for the excreta to fully come out of the PDP’s anus before they put their lips to it and try to suck it out: damaged and corrupt Governors and Senators ostracized by the PDP have suddenly become top recruitment priority for APC leaders, not the Nigerian people. And these are the same clowns who went to town not too long ago saying that nothing good could ever come out of the PDP. We must therefore ask them: just what is good about these characters that you are so busy recruiting instead of changing the game from the elite paradigm in order to convince Nigerians that you are indeed worthy of being that sought-after and much-desired alternative to the vermin in the PDP?
