THE BEGINNING. After the last WAEC I sort of became a wreck A couch potato Gathering fat and ororo Then one day, out of impulse I wrote a poem of true loves I asked for a rating She said it was nice without waiting I was a fool and asked for permission To pursue this talent head on She was wise, and did not reply I was forced to think, why? Then it came to me Hey, this who i might be I can do a lot more Till my fingers feel sore So, i picked my weapon The mighty pen branded lucky I picked up a note of inspiration And then i said, let's kill And so, i became a poet That could play the clarinet I am now here to display While there tarries sunshine for hay. 1 Like |

THE SKY So vast and unlimited So wide and blue It stretches over my head It is the sky, and it's true Too often, i catch myself Gazing out in wonder Like the proverbial elf At the unfolding of a little flower It is my inspiration My mentor's work of art I am trapped in it's manipulation Its exoticness rules my heart. My heart longs for the sky To fly and feel the rush of air To experience before i die My greatest moment up there For it is a desire of all men To take off like the eagles To soar, its thrill, no matter when Before death, unable to rise like ghouls Therefore, as my mind comes to write As i prepare for the day in the morn I swear to work, with all my might That to the skies, i will always return. 2 Likes |

OUR GREATEST ADVANTAGE We are humans, we are wise We are hairless, we are clothed Above all creatures, we rise The insect, our rivals, we have loathed. Our eyes are a pair Our faces are fair We stand up tall We give it our all We can choose We can make rules We are conscious We are serious But above any animal Lies our greatest advantage of all It makes us different, it makes us special It is our desire, to long, for more. |

POETRY Poetry is a picture A product of culture A prose allotrope Presented in a colourful rope. They say a picture is worth a thousand words A poem is worth a thousand worlds For it is the language of the gods A means to appeal to great lords Poetry is life and death It is ying and yang of earth It intertwines every breath It is as warm as the hearth A poem brings peace to the soul It makes one wise as the owl It is brain food in a figurative bowl To inspire the heart is its goal Poetry is the flow of spirit It the love we always meet It sparks a flame in the heart It is the grandest of all called art. |

THE FUTURE It's not so sure It feels like acupuncture Every minute, we enter it But like a bottomless pit It's always there Unknown, exciting, with fear A notorious man once said, you know, You could win a million dollars tomorrow. You could get get run over by a truck, like dough. You could also win a million dollars And still get run over By a drunk truck driver Science fiction tries to make us see How the future may be. But what they don't know, Predictablity is future's no no In the future, anything can happen And that's why it's what i'm loving, |

MATHEMATICS Even from the utter beginning The smallest of all superstrings And the largest of galaxy rings Exists through specific governing The universe is a exhibition Of a grander manifestation A perfect preordered convention A pattern in projection We are put here to diligently observe To seek understanding without reserve To peruse the the vast knowledge preserve All that we need is all that we have It is mathematics that we must inevitably see When we shine light and watch darkness flee When we uncover the secrets of the universe We find the beauty of maths This world is a an exquisite fabric The pattern is mathematical rubric Mathematics is the ultimate interaction The ultimate explanation Without it we stumble in darkness We wallow in foolishness We are stuck in an everlasting free fall Into ignorance, confusion, and more Therefore we must embrace mathematics We must follow its guide and logics For it is the secret to more than our galaxy And it exists. That we might see. |

The lines are really beautiful, ur construct and choice of words classifies U far 4rm an amature, i abandoned my poetic prowess,owing 2 lack of dat empowerment dat emanates 4rm being around people of similar thought frequency! |
