As a child, my grand dad told us stories about how evil, and things alien to them happened in our land. How they once were experiencing farmine, low yield, death of their children and animals, people running mad and other dangerous disasters. He said during this time it will seem as if the gods were silent and never cared but only to discover that this attrocities happening in the land are caused by some evil men and women who have commited one evil or the other or who are bent on giving the community a bad name.

He told us that a day came when the Gods unleashed its anger on this people and their acomplicess/cohorts. Such angers are characterised by thunder, killing of the evil men children, blindness, deaf and dumb srange diseases etc. He also told us that the gods gave mild sickness to those whose sin were just minor but the sickness might go away in three days time or a week.

What is the essence of this story many will ask?

Today our country is in a mess. It can be likened to the olden evil time talked about in this write-up where things have gone from bad to worse where many call white black, where corruption have eaten deep into our marrow, where bokoharam now threaten our common lives and it seems no one cares. It seems as if the gods of Nigeria are asleep.

But lol and behold, the day the gods will come roaring with their anger, what will be the fate of many? What will be the fate of Boko Haram? What will be the fate of those pliticians that have milked us dry, that made our roads death traps, our hospitals a moribond one, who have embezzled money meant for power and gave us darkness, who have taken our common gods given resources as their own, who have made our educational system a mere classroom what will be their fate? what will be their fate? I fear for that day.

What will be the fate of those who have engaged in money rituals, kinapping, pushing of hard drugs, dealing in fake products that have claimed lives, human trafficking etc.

What will be the fate of those who defend bad government policies, who see white and call them black just to get peanuts, youths who hijack ballot boxes on election day or those who delibrately preach hate and discord in our dear nation. What will be the fate of those who sing praises of under- performing government and urge them to continue, what will be the fate of some journalist, media houses etc who give awards to never-do- wells in politics and spread lies to paint them good . What will be the fate of those who write lies about other people just to get money they will leave behind on this earth. Oh, i fear for that day.

What will be the fate of our fake religious leaders who milk their members dry, build mansions and buy luxuries that jesus does dwell in who preach that a particular religion is bad and incite followers to kill or harm others.

I cant wait for that day to come. If am also found wanting, so be it.
