3. Naira to dollar : in 1999 = #85..2014 = #181 ❌

5. security : 1999 = 45%..2014 = 14% ❌ SECURITY IS NOT AS BAD AS YOU'VE PAINTED IT, MORE PATROL VAN, HIGHWAY PATROLS, BETTER COMMUNICATION, ETC. THEY MAY NOT SCORE EXCELLENTLY, BUT THEY ARE NOT DOING SO BADLY

6. employment : 1999 = 57%..2014 = 9% ❌ BRO 9% IS TOO LOW. LET'S CREATE JOB OURSELVES AND STOP WAITING FOR GOVERNMENT. FARMING IS LUCRATIVE

7. government property maintenance such as stadium, national theatre, refineries, schools,Roads etc : 1999 = 24%..2014 = 2% ❌ I ACCEPT FOR REFINERY. BUT FOR SCHOOLS AND THE REST OF IT, YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE IN THOSE DAYS. IT IS MUCH BETTER NOW. EXCEPT WHERE STATE GOVERNMENT SIPHONED MONIES MEANT FOR THESE PROJECTS

That was the initial plan but I don't think they are going to increase pump price. It would be deemed social injustice

This is NOT so much about any cabal.
No, it is NOT!

It is about our clueless rejection of the subsidy removal & DEREGULATION of the petroleum sector. We would have suffered higher prices initially as with mobile phones & cement but with-

- new investors
- increased supply
- increased COMPETITION

price will start REDUCING after a while.

A clueless fool who does not sacrifice today will be a SLAVE to his neighbour who did, tomorrow.
No short-cut in life really except the one that will cut you short shocked
QED!!!
Some of your points are good globally but when you bring them to Nigeria's level, you will know they are not tendable here.

1. Why is it that diesel which has been deregulated for a while now has its price still extremely high. What makes you think same will not happen to PMS when deregulated?

2. We shout of scam in fuel subsidy, whose fault is it? Is it the fault of the citizenry or that of the government? Why is it that not a single person has been jailed over this fuel subsidy scam thing we all shout about? Is it the citizenry that will prosecute and recover money from the fraudsters?

3. What exactly has the government done with the extra 32 naira accrued to the government from the pump price?

4. Why has the amounts paid by FG as fuel subsidy gone up by x2 even when we have experienced a 32 naira increment in price?

5. Why are our refineries not working? We were told they will become functional this year with the extra from the increase in pump prices but just 16 days to the end of the year, nothing has been done?

6 why do you honestly think if the above raised points have happened, why should government be trusted? We gave them 32 naira extra from our pockets, they did f*ck all with it, why should we give them more?

7. Do you and the government think we are so dumb? You were importing Oil at a particular rate and sell at another rate ( to make profit) now the price you purchase has decreased and you all of a sudden want to continue to sell at the old price? How does that work especially as billions are still being paid as subsidy?

Educate us if you can.

How clueless can u get?. Where ar d huge funds realised frm d sale of gsm licences?. They looted it & did not even deem it fit to plough some of it back nto improving infrastructure dat will help d country & d gsm companies. because of poor infrastructure & inadequate power supply gsm prices in nigeria is still among d highest in d world. Is it power dat they provided or ar they d ones providing d air dat is being used by gsm?. Govt only reaped & is still reaping frm huge profits being made by gsm companies frm hapless nigerian masses.

Na you clueless pass. Worse is you don't even realise and think you are smart.

How do YOU know the received GSM licence fees were not paid into the Federation Account and shared, as usual, with the 36 states and 774 LGAs?
HOW do you know

NITEL was receiving subsidies and annual budgets yet providing no telephones shocked
Now we have MILLIONS of lines, additional revenue and EMPLOYMENT.

Subsidy must go that's a fact Nigerians must accept

It's a shame that some of us especially pro-APC fans have failed to see the benefit of re-investing our subsidy into other productive ventures

Will jobs fall from heaven , will prices drop when demand still exceeds supply and will importation stop depleting our foreign reserve when we fail to encourage public-private industrialization with the hope to completely privatized in the nearest future.

This share share economic system bestow on us by our false federalism will land us in national poverty if we fail to encourage wealth creation.

Create wealth today or die in poverty tomorrow

That is a CONVENIENCE lie for doing all sorts of chaotic, knee-jerk solution proposals that will NEVER address our issues FUNDAMENTALLY angry
Nigerians are human beings just like other human beings around the world- in Europe, Asia, America etc.
No difference in our INTELLIGENCE level. The main difference is how/whether we use that God-given intelligence with determination, perseverance knowing that any MEANINGFUL sacrifice and suffering today can only make tomorrow better for us ALL.

1. Why is it that diesel which has been deregulated for a while now has its price still extremely high. What makes you think same will not happen to PMS when deregulated?

While I do not have all the details of the TREND of diesel price since its deregulation I can already say that deregulating diesel in ISOLATION while other refined petroleum products are still subsidised and regulated CANNOT allow & encourage much needed private investors to come into the sector that will lead to competition and price REDUCTION down the line.
Moreover have you considered the impact of INCREASED economic activity on the consumption of diesel

Why is it that not a single person has been jailed over this fuel subsidy scam thing we all shout about? Is it the citizenry that will prosecute and recover money from the fraudsters?

This Jonathan/Sambo administration is dealing with the subsidy scam issue SYSTEMATICALLY and in line with what is done in any CIVILISED society- you follow Law & Order.

U ar truly  clueless. U ar so uninformed dat u don't even know dat b4 PDP involvement, Nitel never received subsidy frm govt.
Just as d PDP looted d proceeds frm gsm licences, it looted Nitel in arguably d biggest scam in Nigerian history. d PDP killed Nitel in order to sell it cheap to themselves.
B4 year 2000 when d PDP brought in Pentascope to loot d company, Nitel made more profit than most banks. It paid all its bills & financed all its projects. In yr 2000, Nitel MD, prof Bajoga left N15b & USD 200m in Nitel coffers. Within 20 months Pentascope looted about N105 billion without installing even a single line, either fixed or mobile. Pentascope looted all incoming revenues & borrowed heavily. dis was d beginning of d Nitel problem.
It is shameful dat u, a supporter of a govt who thru corruption & ineptitude has made gsm in Nigeria one of d most expensive in d world now comes to NL to taunt d achievements of dis gsm companies in terms of provision of lines & employment, a feat they achieved inspite of d infrastructure challenges brought on them by d utterly corrupt & clueless PDP. #pathetic

First of all kindly provide credible links to your STORY of NITEL making MORE profit than banks and remitting it to the Federation Accounts before 1999.

Meanwhile, are you talking about these two characters

El-Rufai

and Atiku

Atiku lied about Pentascope deal –El-Rufai

A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory under the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has said that a former Vice-President, Abubakar Atiku, lied when he accused him of imposing the Pentascope management contract on the defunct Nigeria Telecommunitions Limited.

El-Rufai was the Director-General of the Bureau for Public Enterprise when the Federal Government entered into a contractual agreement with a Dutch firm, Pentascope, to manage the nation’s telecommunications firm, NITEL, on the eve of the privatisation carried out by the Obasanjo administration.

El-Rufai said that Atiku, who was Chairman of the National Council for Privatisation, gave a written approval to enter into a contractual agreement with Pentascope to manage NITEL on February 21, 2003.

More from: http://www.punchng.com/news/atiku-lied-about-pentascope-deal-el-rufai/

Are both of them not born-to-gain leaders looters of the Association of Pretending Crooks, APC today

Hahahaha, nice try. U can clap 4 urself because now dat d 2 individuals ar no longer in d PDP camp u can eagerly throw them under d bus to take d fall 4 d decay of 15+ yrs of d PDP misrule & corruption.
Shey u can now see dat d whole myth about PDP's privatization program being an attempt to promote efficiency is utter fallacy. Privatization under d PDP has been about asset stripping, sharing of our national patrimony & concentrating d assets of our nation in d hands of a privileged few. That's why u see dat today d gap between d rich & poor has never been wider. d rich getting richer & d poor getting poorer under a man who once had no shoes.
