Hi Dr Wip, Please I have an issue and I need your directive or advice... I have an article published in Taylor and Francis journal since 2017 but on searching scopus this year, the article was not on my author's database on scopus. Please what can be done as I have a directive to submit at least an article of mine that appeared on scopus

Good day all, it's really nice to locate a thread like this for PhD students.
B.Sc Industrial Chemistry
M.Sc Industrial Chemistry
M.Sc Materials for Energy and Environment
PhD Chemical Engineering (in view)

My research interests are in: photocatalytic water treatment (major), photocatalytic organic synthesis, plastic depolymerisation and titanium dioxide application. Two published papers in peer-reviewed international journals with one as first author. One under review and one in writing stage.

I wished I had joined nairaland and followed this thread some years ago.
I feel like crying but it is not too late as I am in my final year in UK.
@ prof wip7 and fellow researchers, you are doing a great job to have sustained this thread for over 6 years.

I am looking forward to doing a postdoc in biomass conversion or plastic depolymerisation/conversion anywhere in the world.
please I have a question to ask you. Does the industrial chemistry syllabus involves a lot o borrowed maths courses at bsc level?

I have checked in all reputable databases which Scopus belong to; the Journal you published (Journal of Psychology) is currently under Indian Publisher (since 2019) which from my deeper search appears not credible for now. Scopus have criteria to admit journals into their database if the publisher maintain the quality streamlined for journals. So currently, your published work is not under scopus, not in Web of Science and not in any credible databases.

That is why you cant find it in your author database.

I also noticed during my findings, one of the authors in the work you posted published in STUDIES ON ETHNO-MEDICINE Journal which is also under the same Indian Publisher......

I hope this helps......

Okay, you need to first learn how to publish reputable articles of your own before trying to make money from people. Maybe you meant predatory journals. Mind you, I have checked you up. Besides, you cannot help people to publish reputable articles. Many people here are not novice.

You are very correct Professor Wip2. I hope he sees my criticism from a positive perspective. I wasn't actually trying to belittle him but rather trying to put things right. And everyone could see how he displayed his ignorance/pride.

Research on Rapid-point-of-Use Sensor

My lab is currently building fantastic and commercial viable sensor technologies using molecularly imprinted technologies. The sensor are able to detect multiple heavy metals in various sources, food pathogens and their toxins and cancer biomarkers.

Here are our recent work.

Collaboration with African-based Researcher:

To assist and train interested researchers in Africa, I am wiling to collaborate with few persons interested to carry out research in the following fields:
1. Electrochemical sensors
2. Wastewater treatment technology via photocatalysis
3. Energy storage devices
4. Advanced materials for biomedical applications
5. AI related scientific research
6. Slow -release agricultural nutrient loaded hydrogels

The aim is to train the researchers on how to carry out research, write reputable papers and publish in reputable journals so that person can create another chain reactions.

Progress will be disseminated timely

I will put up some characteristics and profile I am interested to work with.

Please advise needed. If you are familiar with Nigerian university academic process.
Someone needs this urgently.
I know many of you have passed through this stage.

Can a Bsc(ed) graduate of Geography Education from a Department of Geography, and Faculty of Education in a Nigerian university, do an MSc in Environmental Management, Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences?

Both degrees would be from a "department of geography" but different faculty.

Bsc is from department of geography, faculty of education.
MSc is from department of geography, faculty of social sciences.

Like
Bsc(ed) Geography Education
MSc Environmental management.

I don't know if I'm making sense but try to understand. Someone needs information about this matter.

Thanks

Sure, it is possible.

Infact U.I admitted geography education graduate for masters in urban and regional planning.

It might not be possible in some other proud schools like Futa, unilag.

But U.I does not mind. Once the person passes the English exam and has upper class...they are like edges.
