RAYPOWER/AIT AWARD TU-FACE, MICHAEL JACKSON, FASHOLA, AKPABIO & OTHERS AT 21

As the year 2014 winds up families, organizations and governments have not hesitated in unwind with events and glamours and High Chief Raymond Dokpesi the path finder in Nigeria's entertainment industry who always has his ways of blazing the trail did not demure on Monday the 15th of December 2014 in seizing this season for a no nobler reason than celebrating the 21st anniversary of Daar Communications - the holding corporation of the first private radio and television stations in Nigeria : Raypower 100.5 FM and Africa Independent Television (AIT) respectively with an Awards and Concert event for its supporters, partners and other worthy personalities in Government and Private Sector in Nigeria and beyond. The climax of the evening however was in the recognition of some of the pioneer staff of the establishment in the likes of Mr. Olusesan Ekinshola, Mr. Kenny Ogungbe, Mrs Yemi Adenuga, Oluwanusola Fayega, Mr. Segun Shilong, Dennis The Menice, Tonye Ikegie, Ambrose, Engr And Tony Uya.
this section also features a tear provoking reminiscence of the labours and sacrifices of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi and his family of pioneer directors and staff including those already deceased.
In addition to this was the recognition of the Pioneer Board Of Directors which include: Otunba Doyin Ogungbe, Chief Mrs Moji Dokpesi, Otunba Folu Oru, Mr. Olusesan Ekinsola, Mrs. Julie Ndam, Mallam Inua Elams, Alh. T. R. Bello,Mrs Funmilayo Dokpesi and High Chief Raymond Dokpesi. Also awarded were the members of the present Board Of Directors some of which are Prince Barr. Akpologo J.B, Princess Toro Ophili (J.P), Prof. Ralph Adefeleye, Alh. Gambo Lawal, Chief Raymond Dokpesi Jnr., Barr. Charles Iyizoba and Mr. C. Obo
To grace the occasion were the breath taking performances from star acts like Daddy Showkey, Omowunmi, Abiodun Oya (First Nigerian Opera to perform twice for the President of America), Oritse Femi, Joe El, Tu face and most memorably, the thrilling performances of Remedies (for the first time in ten years) and the collaboration of Lagbaja and King Sony Ade to close the event with open dance floor!
Meanwhile the Group Managing Director in benediction announced that the event as well as the carol nite will become yearly celebrations even as they proceed with an in house arrangement to present awards to others whom the evening was too short to accommodate.
