The gambling business is an amazing world of possibilities for those who play in it. Its amazing ability to defy the economic downturn so much attracts people to it. It is strange to know that despite its possibilities giving you much for little, there are so much down sides to it,
1. Takes the fun off the game.
Football and other sports are increasingly popular because of the fun and entertainment attached to it. The truth is that bettors are likely going to look past the fun of it and treat it as a business which unfortunately is less beneficial. Bettors find it hard to discuss the game as a fan and feel easily hard done when results don't go according to their predictions.
2. It is a huge distraction.
Bettors are increasingly checking up leagues that are really uninteresting and unimportant at the same time. They bet on obscure teams and basically look up results almost at all times. This is a huge distraction and makes you think less of important things.
3. They are unlikely to build a successful career.
Due to the distractions and all other effects their career might easily be affected because they tend to think mostly on the short term rather than the long term. Also the little they have that they ought to invest is easily lost to their various bets.
4. They can easily turn to fraudsters.
Betting encourages short term aspirations and a string of losses will make the bettor search for quick ways to recover their losses. Also you are likely going to see swindling as a clever move because after all its like you have just been duped.
5. Leaves the person depressed.
Failure and losses are the fastest way to becoming depressed and frustrated. If you are unable to deal with the losses the person may end up in a sorry state.
6. Shortest way to make and lose money.
Its increasingly a deception to keep putting your money into it hoping to make some money from it. The fact that you can strike luck at the first trial is a possibility but the losses are usually more than the gains.
7. Makes you less religious.
Its increasingly surprising to see the distaste some have towards God. A christian or Muslim that bets is unlikely to give his total focus to God. Their anger may likely be caused by the fact that they are increasingly losing while God is looking at them without solving their problems.
Those are some of my observations. The effect may not be seen yet but the future might be derailed by it. Also betting is likely going to make the richer get richer and the poorer worse than its former state.
