All Progressives Congress presidential
candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari
(retd.), is to meet with 22 Peoples
Democratic Party aspirants, who have
been aggrieved over the conduct of the
PDP’s governorship primary in Akwa
Ibom State.
An aide to one of the aspirants, who
preferred to be anonymous, told our
correspondent in Uyo on Monday that the
aggrieved aspirants, otherwise known as
G22, had been under intense pressure to
defect to the APC.
He stated that the G22, who had earlier
ignored the calls to defect to the opposition
party by the party’s governorship flag
bearer in the state, Mr. Umana Umana,
were said to be reconsidering their position
as they were reportedly not satisfied with
how the national executive had handled
their grievances over the governorship
primary, conducted on December 8.
According to the aide, the planned
crossover to the APC is being facilitated
by one of the APC governors in the
South-South.
The source said, “The APC presidential
candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari
(retd.), has expressly requested to meet
with the 22 aggrieved PDP aspirants
from Akwa Ibom State. The move is
being facilitated by an of the APC
governors in the South-South.
The aggrieved aspirants, who are expected
to dump the PDP for the APC, include
former Akwa Ibom State Deputy
governors, Obong Nsima Ekere and
Patrick Otu; a senator representing Akwa
Ibom South, Helen Esuene; former
Nigerian Ambassador to Russia and
Belarus, Assam Assam, SAN; former
Attorney-General of Akwa Ibom State,
Ekpenyong Ntekim; former Commissioner
for Local Governments and Chieftain
Affairs, Effiong Abia; Asukwo Okpo,
Larry Esin’ Prof. Richard King and
Chris Abasi Eyo.
Others include Okpolump Ette, Aniedi
Ufot, David Okpon, Dr. Samuel
Udonsak, Jerome Isangedighi, Dr Peter
Esu, Ita Udoh, Ime Ekanem, Micheal
Etuk, Benjamin Okoko, Ime Akpanebe
and Effiong Usin.

The momentum that APC is gathering in the South South, there's God ooo... Contrary to what the PDPians alleged, it's getting more clearer by the minute that APC is gonna perform well in the SS. APC would be rejected in the SS because it's an Islamic party, but they're being accepted everyday. Now, who's fooling who?! Nigerians are tired of PDP!

I love this. . Even in Bayelsa, with the overbearing interference from Mama Peace, Jonathan can not be guaranteed a landslide.

The momentum is building up so fast, and PDP is beginning to realise they've served themselves a raw deal with Jonathan.

I wonder if those who made those huge donation would get a refund when Buhari is finally declared winner.

Buhari is a stark illiterate, accepted! But, what is Police "test exam"?! Does that make any sense to you?! Jonathanian' School of Thought has done more harm than good to you!

The part in bold is very true, and GEJ's campaign strategists, and even the politically savvy among his ordinary supporters, must be fully aware of this fact and it must be giving them some sleepless nights!

Although the THE VAST MAJORITY of the people in the SS/SE region would ALMOST CERTAINLY vote for him in the forth-coming election, there WILL NOT be as much ENTHUSIASTIC and EUPHORIC outpouring of support for him as in 2011.

This is due to his DISAPPOINTING first term performance AND, to a larger extent, due to some significant changes in the dynamics of the political terrain.

Perhaps the most defining of such changes is the fact that there will be far LESS ROOM for any MASSIVE RIGGING in his favour come 2015, simply because MANY of those who AIDED and ABETTED that massive rigging for him in 2011 are today either too DISILLUSIONED about his leadership, and even REGRETFUL of rigging him into power in the first place, or might even be so diametrically opposed to his re-election that they are READY and DETERMINED to HELP IN PLUGGING ALL THE RIGGING LOOPHOLES, which they know so well from their previous rigging experience!

But of course, you cannot expect the DUMB among the supporters of the clueless to fully grasp this reality, until it finally hits them in the face!.
