Have you ever had the experience of being turned down for a job as a result of being overage? Please share! How did you overcome this challenge?

it is a reality in job searches especially in Nigeria. best you can do get the right professional qualifications and specialized certification and run your own consulting firm for a while to build experience. then apply for a higher position.

I support what voltron has suggested. Get a higher degree or excellent industry standard professional certification and try your hands applying as experienced hires

This age barrier thing... Sometimes I wonder why employers should hinge their emphasis on age rather than wat the young or old employee has to offer.

Nigeria is a shithole. What do you expect? In saner countries, there are laws which forbid anyone being discriminated for employment due to race, religion, age or background, etc.
