It is disheartening that foreign companies like MTN will sum up the courage to walk into the Nigerian market to swindle Nigerians in their own backyard.

While indigenous firms are not encouraged maybe because they don't remit huge kick-backs to the authorities grin

MTN simply programmed their network monitors to simply cut subscribers out in the name of exceeding the "Fair usage Threshold" which the customer can't verify in any way.

What is the fair usage threshold?
How much of it have I used?
How much do I have left?

I woke up this morning only to discover that my BBC monthly subscription was out of "fair usage threshold", something meant to expire on the 10th of January 2015.
No prior notification, nothing whatsoever!

I now access the internet on a ridiculously weak snail speed. I kept on calling the customer care agents to confirm to me that the new data allowance for the BBC monthly plan is truly 2GB because what I use to know about the plan is 200MB.

To be honest, I don't think I had used up to 150MB before now. MTN has served me a truck load of crap in 2014.

I find it hard to imagine myself exhausting almost 2GB on a Blackberry 9360 phone not even on an android device in less than 30 days undecided

Another crazy pressing issue is on my MTN Fastlink modem line(08133201351). Funny stuff to me.
Ever since I subscribed on it two weeks ago, I can't even access the internet and the best I could do was to share the data I bought to another line and that was all I could use on that data subscription. #crazy

No resolution to the issue yet after all the "we are so sorry about that" that nearly purged my intestines out.
The said plan will be expiring in January 2015 and even if I wait till 2016, they will still be feeling sorry for themselves, silly bunch of #Douchebags

Public institutions, mostly the NCC among others will never rise up to their responsibilities. They just sit there soaking govt funds #smh

By the way, I will be porting those lines to Etisalat and Glo, crush the useless modem..I can do without MTN in 2015

#merryChristmasNairalanders
May God keep us safe,
Wishing u all a prosperous 2015 in advance
