Barack Obama is not a true son of Africa cos if he was he wudnt introduce foreign policies which are against the interests of blacks..we supported him during his first n second term presidential bids n he won.Thank goodness he hasn't got a chance anymore..infact,nobody wishes he was there.Americans r dissatisfied with him n so are our people too..black man black heartso they say.
the reason is not far fetched..
1.nigerian government prohibition of gay acts
2.Nigeria's position as the biggest economy in Africa.
3.The inability of the US government to exert influence on Nigeria like before.
4.Nigeria's image has bn tarnished to an extent that outsiders stl believe that nothing good can come out from us..
5.corruption..

if no 1 is reversed the us govt wud likely mk a u turn... HOWEVER,I see that as a blessing in disguise.. this has really tot our leaders a lesson that we shud not put our eggs in one basket.cudnt we av sought for an alternative buyer at the right time?
must we keep exporting crude oil at cheap prizes to other countries n stl buy the refined products at exorbitant prizes while our refineries can handle it..wl local production of petroleum products not provide jobs opportunities for the teeming unemployed masses?

Come you think american have time for neopotism and is barrack obama the president of africa or USA

If from what I understand is right, halting importation from Nigeria has also affected other oil exporting countries "drop in price of crude oil"

let's look for something else to export
let's deal with China, China will never treat nigeria like this

Obama never hid his hatred for nigeria, i don't know why it still suprise some people.......

Obama doesn't see himself as black man from Kenya
let's stop famzin him, Nigeria is bigger than one man

God bless Nigeria

Our problem is not outward it is inward. I could care less if America stops buying our oil .If there's anything that will do for us it will force us to look inward. It's just like a man with character disorder blaming every one for his failures and woes except himself. If people ignore him and stop every business with him he will be forced to look inward and forced to take necessary steps to make him successful. Look at China for example. Look at Japan. Except us undecided
dragon2:

No businessman/group will want to invest in building a Refinery in Nigeria until we deregulate the downstream sector and allow the price of petrol to float.Something Nigerians do not want.It would be too dangerous for a Foreigner to invest in something tightly controlled by Government and subject to corruption(petroleum subsidy). This has not been helped by the dormant PIB. Yes, dangote has decided to tread such dangerous waters but he alone knows what gives him the confidence.

the world has left Nigeria behind since it has refused to move yet we cannot see the hand writing on the world. America had moved beyond fuel consumption to solar energy and besides they are not as wasteful as Nigeria. They have bought and preserved enough fuel enough to last them for centuries and if Nigeria is not careful after the next 100 years if fuel dries up as predicted by the u.s analyst we will be the one s buying from America. Unfortunately nigerians are still enjoying their poverty. They are not ready to wake up or do you think America will give genuine reasons why they are no more buying fuel? It's obvious they have bought fuel and preserved to the extent that they don't longer need again abi is it until I say obi is a boy and simbi is a girl

Infact, according to the Manifesto Of Commitee Of 300, no African country must bé allowed to get hold Nuclear Energy Development System because according to them, it is the key or solution to removing Africa from the backward state We are!!

The key to advancing to Nuclear Energy production and other science oriented levels is Research.

America think they are playing smart, loading the market with surplus supply of oil and driving down oil prices, thereby hurting their perceived enemies- Russia, Iran, Venezuela and Nigeria- by cutting down on their oil generated forex and widening their trade deficit. But USA also has putrid debts, lets see how Obama will look when the creditors knock on the white doors mid next year!!

It seems Nigerian's love to blame blame blame without any justification.

Everyone who knows what is happening and is unbiased knows the US have been working towards increasing oil production to reduce reliance on importation for years, and the recent shale boom actually boosted USA to the top oil producer this year. This is inpart the reason for the recent fall in oil prices, coupled with slowing Chinese economy among other factors, so to say US stopped buying Nigeria oil is punishment for gay law is foolishness.

Stop blaming the US and focus on building your refineries so you are not importing oil, and and diversify your economy.

If you want a sensible logical reason as to why US stopped importing Nigeria oil, read the following link, if not continue to wallow in ignorance and believe its gay law.
http://time.com/67163/why-are-u-s-oil-imports-falling/

Besides, Nigeria was never a major supplier of oil to the states. See below the top 5 oil suppliers to the states;

Top five countries2
Canada 3.142 (32%)
Saudi Arabia 1.329 (13%)
Mexico 0.919 (9%)
Venezuela 0.806 (8%)
Russia 0.460 (5%) 0

please the world is a small village now due to the internet and information is free and available so educate yourselves and stop typing ignorant rubbish

When GMB becomes the president and fight against is taking serious, USA will start buying our oil. USA can not be seen sourcing oil from a corrupt nation. It their own way telling us that the government of the day is corrupt and not ready to fight it and they are no longer going to support corruption in Nigeria. They have spoken to us enough on the issue of corruption but GEJ with his co-travelers don't listen. It is time to use economic power. They how much money we make from oil deals daily, they know the much that end up in peoples private account and small change that is declared as oil revenue for over 160 million to share. USA is now using nations of like mind to deal with us.
Re: Why We Stopped Buying Nigeria’s Oil, By White House by Nobody: 3:42pm On Dec 27, 2014
Dont blame US because they knew all the secret about Nigeria and how toomuch money money has cause us, look at the security challenges that we have today and those that are alleged to be the foundation and their financial strength, private jet everywhere, money laundring, High rat of corruption as a results of oil money, US does this in every situation like this, where toomuch money is becoming a problem to the society, don't forget what US does to some of the artist in US who misbehaving, commit crimes, and how some of their wealth were withdraw from them.

The problem is the structure

Even if you make the Pope the president of Nigeria, he won't make any difference

Jesus Christ taught us a lesson through Judas that , if we don't create good systems/ structures, men like Judas will get away with their evils.

As they are treating Nigeria "Bleep up", so also they are treating Russia "Bleep up" rigth now using Oil price as weapon.

It is time we start making money from our brains by utilising our Crude resourses to make FINISHED PRODUCTS.

I see this USA action as a blessing in disguise.

Time to establish and fund Research Centers accross Nigeria is here now.

If you do not have research centers, you will never get new things discovered let alone making them manufactureable which translates to Large Scale Employments.

People of Nigeria, this is time to shun White-man introduced Laws in Science Field.

The Withes are Mortal men. They are nor God!!

Brilliant one.

Yankee "buying" Nigeria's oil - example: pay for 100 barrels, and get 150 barrels free through Apiam way; pay billions of dollars for oil pollution in say, Texas, but pay a token for similar pollution in say, Otuoke, Bayelsa state - that's the system they operated whenever born to rule was in power.

Wise up Nigerians. Rise up. Jonathan may not be the best president for now, but he has so far resisted economic recolonization of Nigeria. Nigerians, resist all the pressure on Jonathan to go by 2015. The pressure is to make Nigeria once again a Banana Republic - a colony.
