SOLUTIONCRIB Top 10 songs for 2014

2014 has come to an end. SOLUTIONCRIB Music presents to our teeming followers our top 10 Nigerian songs for the year.

1. Aye - Davido: Davido is undoubtedly the best Nigerian artiste for the year. He ended 2013 with smash hit Skelewu and started 2014 with Aye, a lovely slow tempo tune. The video for this song has hit over 12 million views since its release.

That is the highest for any Nigerian music video released this year.

2. Dorobucci - The Mavins (Don Jazzy,Dr.Sid, Tiwa Savage, D'Prince, Reekado
Banks, Korede Bello and Di'ja): This song was a mega hit. It propelled the Mavins to become arguably the hottest label in the country.
Only Davido's Aye could have
pipped it to take the first spot.

3. Shoki - Lil' Kesh: Olamide's protege
takes the next spot. His shoki was the
biggest street anthem for the year 2014 and the dance step only made the song even more popular.
A regular in every club or DJ mix, the Shoki helped Lil' Kesh to win awards and an appearance on Tim Westwood TV.

4. Alobam - Phyno: Igbo rapper Phyno
takes the fourth spot. The song Alobam was one that even people who weren't Igbo and didn't understand the language loved.
This is the best rap single for 2014 and received massive airplay
nationwide

5. Shake Body - Skales: After parting ways with former label, Skales' career seemed to be over, until he dropped his biggest song till date, Shake Body. The song earned him so many features and show appearances. Since the release, Skales has been a household name in the industry
and a force to reckon with.

6. Sanko – Timaya: Off Timaya's
Epiphany album, is this track that takes our sixth spot. This song set dance floors ablaze and goes a long way to show that Timaya follows trend and delivers what the fans want.

7. Double Wahala - Oritse Femi: This song which is almost like a remake of Fela's Double Wahala, actually brought Oritse Femi to the forefront of the industry.
The song was so good that the Kokomaster D'banj had to be on the remix.

8. Woju - Kiss Daniel: This song is one
song that could have easily occupied the top spot, if it was done by an A-list artiste.
A mid tempo high-life track that appealed to every audience, with witty lyrics and a sing along feel, Woju goes down as one of the best songs for the year.

9. Girlie Oh Remix - Patoranking featuring Tiwa Savage: Patoranking's rise to stardom is hugely due to this duet with Mavin Record's first lady Tiwa Savage.
The song and the original version were blockbuster hits for the year.

10.Story For The gods - Olamide: This song sparked controversies for a number of reasons including the title. But it still has a spot on our countdown.
A real street banger, loved in the streets and in the club. A song that will definitely make you dance.

There are so many other songs that
should have made the list, but we just had to choose 10.
