There's no way u'll get to know the a good hosting coy if you dont taste the bad ones. For real, i have had my share of the sour pill.

Check for reviews on the net. That's how you know if you're really serious.

If you want to go further, do a whois on the host's primary domain, get the nameservers, if the nameservers belong to another host company, its very likely the "host" you are checking out is a reseller and a reseller is only as good as his upstream provider so get reviews of the upstream provider. If the nameservers are unique to the host you are checking out(it may still be a reseller with personalised nameservers), do a reverse dns lookup on the IP address(es) of the nameservers and get other sites on the same server. Test those sites for speed and other things and make your choice. You can also trace the IP address to the upstream providers/datacenter of the host and get to know how good they are.

That's how you know, its not to come here and post all sorts of links to all sorts of "hosts".

Webhosting business in Nigeria is turning to the crayfish webdesign business in Nigeria.
