Buhari Promises Allowances For Unemployed Youth Corp Members And More. by CHM11: 3:42pm On Jan 05, 2015
All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate,
General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has promised to
provide allowances to discharged but unemployed Youth
Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills
and entrepreneurial development programmes, if elected in
2015. There is also the pledge to provide One Meal a day for
all Primary school pupils.
Buhari/Osibanjo administration also vow to create a Social
Welfare Program of at least Five Thousand Naira (N5000)
that will cater for the 25 million poorest and most
vulnerable citizens upon the demonstration of children’s
enrolment in school and evidence of immunisation to help
promote family stability.
“As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy
producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to
build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the
average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of
inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in
order to provide functional services and secure the good of
the individual Nigerian and his or her family,” Buhari said in
a document that reveals some of his plans for 2015.

And Nigerian youths be like,'how many unemployed youths did Buhari empowered as head of state'?.
How many APC states are currently implementing this rag-tag policy?

On meal for young ones;
Do buhari actually want to Almajirize Nigeria?.
Is trying to nationalize stomach infrastructure as practiced is Osunistan?.

In fact, common sense will know this man Buhari wants to kill our economy,if not,he would av' told us how to make our economy more viable than Gej and his team is doing,so as to empower the citizens, instead of this 'feeding bottle' economy he is wishing us.

I av' discovered one thing, most APC supporters are ilitrates, while other due to hatred, are wise but refuses to reason.

The people at the creeks are paid,so that ijjiots like you, will continue to enjoy 'oyel' money.
Your brothers in Navy and JTF,who got the job by qouta system, like Buhari, couldn't effectively rid the water ways, and oil installations,of pirates, and vandalism, hence, for maximium output, the government did what is convinient, pending till better monitoring and performance is being carried out by navy. .

APC candidates for the presidential elections are economic illiterates. They do not understand the implication of certain things they say. I say so because of the funny promises they make:

1. A Buhari government will rechannel subsidy savings to feeding primary school pupils across the 36 states of the Federation. How? Is it even the responsibility of the FG to take over primary education and not to intervene via UBE? Where will this fund come from?

2. APC government will go for full privatization of the power sector by selling off the TCN. Really? Do they even understand why the TCN was retained? And what is the weakest links in the power chain of this country? Generation, transmission or distribution? Some experts define strategy as maximizing the utility you derive from your potentials. How strategic is privatizing the TCN, meaning that the entire power grid is in the hands of the foreigners. What happens to National security and how will this policy produce immediate turn around at the distribution end when the generating capacity is not even enough for the existing installed capacity of the transmission infrastrucuture?

3. Paying 5000NGN to former NYSC members. This is even very funny. How do you generate this extra fund? How much economic sense does this make when placed side by side with productive financing initiatives like Graduate Internship Scheme or the YOUWIN?

I think Buhari and the APC are very focused on consumption of the national resources, no ideas on how to build up. What happens if the oil production plummets? On one hand, they talk about socialism while on the other hand, they talk about capitalism. I am really getting confused as to their economic position. What is their position of national debt, how much debt is ok for us? They seem not to even understand the problem. How exactly can they hit the ground running?

Pls don't waste ur energy on that man.

He wants to feed the pupils and gives unemployed youth corp members allowances yet he cannot produce his certificates.

Let him produce his certificates first then we can now listen to him.

let me help your incoherent rants:
the osun state school children feeding programme has been commended within and beyond the boundaries of Nigeria, the UNHCR is one of the numerous organisations that gave it a thumbs up, this programme impressed the minister of agriculture that he urged all other states to emulate, just recently Kano state government has decided to adopt this programme, mind you farmers and poultry owners are smiling to the bank in Osun state,no thanks to this lofty programme

let me also intimate you about the elderly people stipends Kayode Fayemi instituted during his time as governor of ekiti state, which is not a mean feat

e the primary responsibility of a govt is to guarantee the security of its people, and also see to the welfare of the people. gbam!!!!!!!!

you seems to be warped in reasoning, are there no niger deltans among the graduates roaming the streets hopelessly ? what you still don't understand is that, a nation that recognises only touts and ignores the hardworking and noble people will continue to breed touts in different forms and shapes

don't be blinded by sentiments. we need to be objective sometimes no matter how inconvenient it is for us

If i should descend to your level of reasoning;are so called touts not Nigerian citizens?.
If i may ask you dingbat, did you go to school,to be a job hunter?
You are one of the reasons we av' profs in Nigeria, but still suffers same fate as 'uneducated countries of Africa'.

In a civilized world, people do go to school,to come out and lead a new wave of development, your own,you go to school,to come out and work in fast food centres, etc.that's what education meant for you and your co-travellers.

No wonder we have profs in Ekiti,Osun and Ibadam, but poverty is ravaging there.

Nonsense. .

To buttress your point, the economic side of his manifesto is very worrisome to any forward thinker.
In the first instance, his Welfare Scheme Programme will add about #1.5 trillion to our recurrent expenditure.
That of the NYSC allowance will add another #380 Billion to our recurrent expenditure.
That means we will have additional recurrent expenditure of #1.89 Trillion in our budget.
How do we cope in an economy that currently have higher recurrent and capital and the change that some people are proposing is higher recurrent.

From the same funding given to militants while jobless graduates are roaming the streets.

From the same funding given to 11 presidential jets for maintenance while jobless graduates are roaming the streets.

From the same funding given amounting to billions yearly for the Otuoke fisherman to be feeding his elephant sized family.

From the same funding that looters are daily looting in this same country.
