President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday
suspended the inauguration of his presidential
campaign committee, earlier slated for 2:00pm
today, following the death of his younger sister,
Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei.
Mrs. Jonathan-Olei died on Sunday at the age of
52 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State after a brief
illness.
Dignitaries, who had gone to the Legacy House,
the Peoples Democratic Party, presidential
campaign headquarters in Maitama District,
waited until 3:00pm for the arrival of the
president, only to be informed that the
inauguration had been suspended.
