General Buhari(rtd) is guilty of the Highest offence in Nigeria TREASON, what makes Treason a very serious issue is because it constitutes a crime not only against the Government but also an attack against the People of Nigeria, suspension of the most sacred Tool of our Political dispensation THE CONSTITUTION.

Somebody need to Remind Buhari that he cannot be the Messiah Nigerians seek, His 20 month rule in Nigeria is equivalent to the House of Horror under the Merciless Vamparist Rule of Count Dracula( The Blood sucking Undead demon who plague mankind).

Nigerians can never vote a certified Dictator nor A Proven Traitor the greatest Enemy of our dear state and Emerging Democracy. Unless maybe Buhari is on the last mission to subvert , rape, maimed and Destroy Nigeria Democracy maybe he have a strong Avid to return Nigeria to the Darkess Hours of Military Rule and Monumental horror.

Buhari regime attempted to stifle criticism. Journalists were harassed, and many critics were arrested. Symbolically, the arrest of the popular musician, Fela Ransome-Kuti, personified the crackdown. Ransome-Kuti's lyrics sharply mocked the government's inability to deal with national problems. The National Security Organisation (NSO) became the principal instrument of repression. The NSO, created in 1976, had played only a marginal role in Nigerian politics until the Buhari regime. Buhari appointed Rafindadi, a civilian, as head of the NSO, and under Rafindadi, Nigeria experienced the harassment and insecurity of a secret police force for the first time. Fortunately, the NSO proved to be inefficient, and subsequent reaction to its operations led to its reorganization.

Buhari's biggest problem was Nigeria's foreign debt. Negotiations with the International Monetary Fund dragged on, and in the end efforts to reschedule the debt failed. Although Buhari was committed to austerity, the IMF insisted on even more drastic measures to cut spending, devalue the currency, and otherwise restructure the economy than most Nigerians were willing to accept. Buhari had to accede to the strong and vocal opposition to the IMF terms. Nigerian nationalism won out over economic necessity, at least in the short run. Furthermore, by the end of 1985 there was considerable frustration within the army. The army had been reduced in size steadily since the end of the civil war, from a total of about 275,000 in 1969 to about 80,000 by the end of the 1980s. The economic crisis, the campaign against corruption, and civilian criticism of the military undermined Buhari's position, and in August 1985 a group of officers under Major General Ibrahim Babangida removed Buhari from power.

The officers who staged the coup were mostly from the north, but unlike Buhari (of Hausa origin), they were mostly from minority ethnic groups. Babangida, for example, was of Gwari origin from Niger state. He was a member of the Supreme Military Council under the Murtala Muhammad, Obasanjo, and Buhari regimes and had been involved in the 1975 and 1984 coups. Lieutenant General Domkat Bali became chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Armed Forces Ruling Council (which succeeded the Supreme Military Council) was dominated by minority groups from the north. Some radicals and technocrats were appointed to ministerial positions.

@OP.

Your attempt at scaremongering only wins Buhari more fans. You and others only harden the resolve of Nigerians, especially yorubas, to vote GMB by choosing to concentrate on vilifying him instead of selling your candidate on his merit and that alone. You don't know Nigerians and you certainly don't know Yoruba people.

The main issue for us is that Jonathan has shown, over 5 long years, he is not an 'omoluabi'. That, for us, is non-negotiable I am afraid. So be my guest and find more Yoruba heroes to show Buhari "mistreated". That will not move any Yoruba person one bit. In fact, I can even give you some names if you want and then leave you to craft your 'stories' however pleases you. Yorubas are not vengeful hostages to the past and driven completely by sentiments as others are. You will do well to remember this and save yourself further exercises in futility.

I don't dive into Yoruba politics unless it involves unfairness to my countrymen in a matter the constitution is explicit.

Secondly, I reprimanded some of over-zealous South-Westerners more than a year ago who told us they speak for Yorubas and that PDP is dead in SW, only to be justified some months later.

Just last year, PDP won Ekiti State and gave APC a run for their money in Osun State. I must confess, this is none of my business who wins but I'm willing to support whoever the people chose notwithstanding the party.

My observation in all these things is that South West Muslims tend to speak for their Christian counterparts without proper assessment.

Can you imagine Eggheader telling us that Yorubas are charged and prepared to descend on the Igbos at any slightest provocation, be it supporting PDP at the expense of APC? Those words are ridiculous hence my attention.

Spare my mention next time as I don't discuss people, group or religion but can analyse their ideology, policy and content of their characters without being confrontational in the process

Help me tell them bro. Nothing is more odious to Yorubas than others trying to patronise our intelligence and refinement by telling us who we must hate so that the messiah they worship clannishly can benefit electorally. The focus of the Yorubas is different. There is nothing in our core make-up or ideology that predisposes us to cutting our nose to spite our face. We are not by nature a vengeful people and we do not place the desire to 'get even' with others above everything including the future of our children and generations unborn.

Like everybody else we respect our heroes but, unlike others, do not feel the need to forever see thing myopically in relation to these heroic sons and daughters of the soil. Yorubas are wise enough to know that a Nigerian leader will offend others from every ethnic group as is incidental to the job and not, as others are always keen to suggest, because said leaders hate our ethnic group exclusively. For example, we Yorubas know that the same Buhari hounded Umaru Dikko fearlessly all the way to the UK which is one of the most powerful Countries in the world.

This shows Buhari's resolve to punish wrongdoers whoever they may be. In relation to events today, the main consideration for the Yorubas is that GEJ deceived Nigerians. He has turned out to be someone who is not an "omoluabi" at all as many Yorubas believed him to be when they voted for him. He is the personification of everything Yorubas despise. He is religiously and ethnically divisive, treacherous, very corrupt, anti-people, elitist, fond of criminals and criminality, indolent, duplicitous, callous, unprincipled and highly deceitful. Jonathan must be voted out for those reasons alone because we cannot stand 4 more years of what GEJ has delivered so far. Any attempt to demonize Buhari as a "Yoruba hater" is a complete waste of time in my opinion because our issues with GEJ cannot cannot be resolved through amateurish and offensive efforts to use the names our heroes cynically with the ultimate aim of whipping up primordial hatred in us against GMB.
