The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has demanded for explanation from the All Progressives Congress, APC, over its alliance with the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND.

The party said it was also waiting for the Boko Haram insurgents to declare its support for the former candidate just like the Niger Delta group.


PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday said the explanation became imperative following the statement attributed to the group backing the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.


The statement said, “What exactly does APC have in common with MEND? Why do they want to resurrect it? Nigerians want to know”.

“Are we also expecting a similar statement from insurgents in the north, who initially named General Buhari to lead the dialogue between them and the Federal Government?

“Nigerians are indeed worried by these developments. We therefore urge the APC to come out clean and explain to the citizens what they have in common with these groups, especially given the statement by their flag bearer, after the 2011 elections, that the ‘dogs and baboons will all be soaked in blood”, the statement added.

My dear, its so sad oh. PDP cant even campaign with anything but some useless trains. Nothing more but negative noise about Buhari, APC is clononing blah blah. PDP has never been this pathetic and useless. All thanks to MR. GEJ

If anyone is close to Boko Haram is Goodluck Jonathan, who is still friends and hobnobbing with Modu Sherrif who himself Jonathan publicly identified as a friend of the slain Boko Haram leader Mohammed Yusuf - the admission is on video, he or his handlers cannot deny it, just listen carefully @ 0.57 of the video.

Its so damaging; a whole C in C not arresting but rather befriending and still supporting and protecting a known friend to the leader of a terrorist group.

Indeed. Highly unprincipled Party as well. Ask for an "issue-based campaign" only to then be the Party guilty of childish and personalised mudslinging worthy of motor park touts. Everything the PDP does only provides further evidence this is a disgraceful, petty, immature and highly inept ruling Party not fit to lead a local government let alone the biggest black nation on earth.

If the majority of the citizens are yarning for change, the fishes, the birds of d air, the animals in d forest etc are all asking for change. Is that not enough for the PDP to see that we are all tired of the PDP and GEJ led govt?

If those guys had endorsed GEJ, we wouldn't have heard Olisa Metuh speak at all. Now the guys have endorsed Buhari, the toothless dog is barking. It's too early for all these, wait till May 29th!
