In December 2014, porn star Mia Khalifa was named the most popular 'actress' on website Pornhub, but is now receiving violent threats over her videos.

21-year-old Mia, who moved from Beirut in Lebanon to the US when she was ten, is relatively new to the industry and has only been appearing in films for a few months.

But since the announcement from Pornhub, there has been widespread criticism of her career on social media, particularly one video which sees her wearing a hijab while performing sex acts.
"The scenes containing a hijabi are satirical," she told The Washington Post. "There are Hollywood movies that depict Muslims in a much worse manner than any scene Bang Bros [the company who made the video] could produce."
