philosophy is a living subject and it begins with the unknown and known. Philosophy is sine qua non to national development in the sense that it makes us to know we are responsible for any action we take.
what is development itself? The concise dictionary defines develop as to grow into an advance stage.
If development entails advancement how can this be reached through philosophy? Philosophy embraces all facets of life it deals with change and permanence. It lay down rules and regulation which are meant to be followed in other to achieve the desired goal. philosophy itself is an ends itself. According to Plato's social and political philosophy published in his book entitled the republic he emphasizes unless philosophers are king or kings are made philosopher that is when the ideal state could be reached while the contrary is a vice consequently we can deduced from Plato's assertion that philosophy is the means to development in any state.
