President Goodluck Jonathan has promised two million jobs yearly if re-elected into office.
Mr. Jonathan spoke Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State, were he met supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the February 14 election.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the president as saying he will generate jobs for the teeming unemployed population in Nigeria.
He did not say how that will happen, after largely failing to provide as many jobs in the last six years as president.

Besides corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan administration is persistently criticised over the huge unemployed population in the country.
The government has always pointed to its Small and Medium Scale support programme, Youwin, which gives grants to only 1,200 people yearly.

The government says the programme has engaged hundreds of thousands, a figure that has been questioned.
The government has also failed to defend its claim that it created 1.6 million jobs in 2013.
At the Ibadan campaign, Mr. Jonathan also lauded South-West leaders for promoting equity, human rights, saying he will continue to respect and work with people from the zone.

The president also said the votes of Nigerian women will either liberate or sanction them to the kitchen, urging women to vote for PDP.

From 800,000 to 2million!! Wow!! This man must think Nigerians fools.

How many jobs did he create annually in the last 5years?? In total, were they up to 2million??

If he's not attacking the person of Buhari, he's busy talking bullucks about some phantom projects.

The people of Utuoke need those jobs more. He should go create them in Bayelsa.

An analogy.

A striker that can produce 30 goals a season would have been showing signs of promising ability especially if he has played for the same club for 6 years.

GEJ is a joke, it's unfortunate a country blessed abundantly in natural resources, potentials, intellectuals and human resources is being pioneered by Jonathan. What does he really take Nigerians for?

Nigerians deserve better, please!

It is totally shameful. He has absolutely nothing to show for the overwhelming goodwill and support he received from Nigerians in 2011.

I had a tate a tate with a professor today and here was what the man said: I don't understand what goes on in the heads of the people that support that man. He says he's a PhD holder and Buhari an illiterate, yet he has nothing to show for his scholarship! Instead of telling people this and that are what we've been able to achieve in the last four years and these are what we aim to achieve for the benefit of Nigerians in the next four years if kept in power, he's busy insulting opposition members like a bad tempered kid. He even called Nnambi Azikiwe a thief by saying Buhari had him jailed for stealing mere XYZ amount of money!
If someone has failed in an assignment, sack him and bring in someone else. If the next person fails, sack him as well!!

So much he said that I can't remember.

I'm so happy about the mood of the people honestly. This is what we need to bring about the Change we desire.

Buhari on the other hand intend dishing out #5000 a month instead of jobs. Anyway no one really expect Buhari to create jobs, he couldn't create any job for himself (apart from 150 cows) since Babangida sacked him from his position.

If you expect a cattle rearer to provide you with a job, you're more silly than the school drop out.
