Following accusation that former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala wasted N3 billion in the last days of his tenure, the Governor Abiola Ajimobi has been described as a serial liar.
Speaking through his director of public affairs, Oludare Ogunlana, Otunba Akala said that why did it take Governor Ajimobi so long before telling people lies, disclosing that he left N12 billion without any loan debt in the coffer of the State.
Ogunlana said that "not long ago, Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy claimed that Oyo State had collected N100 billion with Ajimobi having nothing to show for it except the over-inflated one-lane over-head bridge which he keeps celebrating.
"The SURE-P buses disbursed to Oyo State to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal were rebranded and publicised as being one of the achievements of Ajimobi".
Ogunlana said that "during the tenure of Otunba Akala as governor, neither his wife nor any of children were were arrested within and outside the country for money laundering or financial recklessness", advising Governor Ajimobi to be focused on how to pack out of the government house and not be economical with the truth.
He said: ""Rather than alleging the incoming governor of what he knows nothing about, he should just tell people how he used N1 billion to cut tree while he used N500 million to build fences of the proposed Four-Points hotels which has not seen the light of the day since the last three years".
He congratulated the people, saying that the long years of suffering would soon end in the next six weeks as "Otunba Akala would leave no stone unturned in his bid to make life meaningful for the teeming people of Oyo State"
