A British father has been sentenced to four
years in jail after he sent his son to daycare
with a lunchbox filled with drugs and knives.
Lee Webb, 23, from Folkestone in Kent, had
dropped off his three-year-old son at Smarty
Pants Nursery School last March, Metro UK
reports.
Webb, who was reportedly in a hurry, gave
his son a Tupperware filled with drugs and
drug paraphernalia.
Once Webb realized the mistake he made, he
went back to the daycare to ask for the
lunchbox. By then, the center’s teachers had
already found mephedrone, cocaine,
weighing scales, other drug-related items and
two knives in the toddlers’ lunchbox.
Staff at the Smarty Pants nursery school
refused to return the box and immediately
alerted police, who took possession of the
box and its content.
Webb had left the premises when the officers
were called. The officers then showed up at
Webb’s home.
When the officers searched Webb’s home,
they found a stash of cocaine worth $1,020.
On Jan. 6, Webb pleaded guilty on two counts
of possession of controlled substances with
the intent to supply. He was sentenced to
four years in jail.
