[url][/url]A journalist in Bauchi, Malam Abraham Aliyu, on Thursday slouched and died whereas acting on a story at the govt. House, Bauchi.
The agency of Nigeria gathered that Aliyu, the govt. House Correspondent of the Bauchi State tv, was writing his report on the militia Remembrance Day once he suddenly folded.
He was rush to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead moments later.
Malam Kabiru Ilela, his camera operator, World Health Organization witnessed the incident, told NAN that the late Aliyu had worked throughout the day and was collection his report at about5.30pm once he suddenly started “jerking”.
Ilele said: “He had his meal by his aspect as he was writing the report, once his mood suddenly modified and he started jerking, collapsing within the method.
“We raised alarm and looked for facilitate to convey him to the hospital.
“On reaching the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, a doctor confirmed that he had died.”
Aged 37, the deceased left behind 2 wives, six youngsters, associate aged mother and 4 brothers.
The deceased was buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions on Friday in Bauchi.
His ceremonial occasion prayer was attended by the Bauchi State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sani Malami; the administrator of BATV, Malam Abraham Abubakar; some journalists; different media executives; family members; and friends.
Commenting on his ending, the BATV administrator told NAN that he had lost an ardent employees.
Abubakar said: “Late Aliyu was associate ‘all-rounder’.
“He reports stories, edits, handles camera and produces programmes.
“The vacuum created by his death are going to be troublesome to fill.”
The Chairman of the Bauchi state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Malam Dahiru Muhammad, himself a employees of BATV, narrated however he detected the talent within the late Aliyu right from the time the deceased was associate attaché with the station.
Mohammed said: “Aliyu was a hard-working and dedicated employees.
“I detected the zeal in him right from the time he was associate attaché.
“After his amount with U.S.A., he visited NTA Bauchi concisely, once that he was engaged for good here.
“I was his Producer and his works were among the only a few that ne'er gave Pine Tree State any headache.”
