Understanding your shape, as a lady goes a long way on your fashion sense and with the type of designs that goes uniquely on your body. Every woman loves fashion and always want to look good, no matter the level or class. Below are types of body shapes of women, enjoy smiley

STRAIGHT SHAPE
PEAR SHAPE
SPOON SHAPE
HOUR GLASS SHAPE
TOP HOUR GLASS SHAPE
INVERTED TRIANGLE SHAPE
OVAL SHAPE
DIAMOND SHAPE

Straight SHAPE: The waist is smaller, not really defined while the bust and hips are the same size. You could have a bottom that’s flat and one tends to gain weight around the waist, than the upper thighs and arms.
To dress a Straight body type is to proportionally dress the top and bottom of your body while enhancing your waist. If you are comfortable doing so, you can wear form fitting clothing, and create a waist by adding a wide, dark belt. However, to create a more curvaceous effect add volume (or the illusion of volume) proportionally to your upper and lower body by mixing and matching suggested separates.

Tops
Look for tops that will add curves to your upper half and create a more defined waist:
• Tops with nipped or belted waists with fullness around the bust and hips.
• Off the shoulder blouses, boat-neck tops, wide V or U necks. will lengthen your shoulders and create the illusion of a smaller waist. Enhance the effect with a wide belt and padded bra.
• Structured shoulders, princess or flutter sleeves.
• Embellishments around the bust and shoulders with a fitted waistline and embellishments, which will give you a more curvaceous appearance.
• .Flowing tops with draping in the body and sleeves and a wide banded waist help create the illusion of an hourglass figure.
• Billowy tops that add volume to the bust with a snug fitting waist. Add flutter or princess sleeves for a more dramatic effect.
• Jackets with full or structured shoulders and a nipped-in or belted waist. Draw attention to your bust with pockets or details. Choose a jacket with a pocketed or flared bottom.

Bottoms/ Trousers?
Go for bottoms that add curves to your lower half while creating an hourglass or full moderate effect below:
1. Look out for Cargo or safari pants with pronounced hip and rear pockets. That’s pants with a wide waist band and full or slightly flared legs. Flap rear pockets, pronounced hip pockets and cargo pockets will add curves to your lower half.
2. Choose boot cut or flared jeans with a low to mid rise waist. Whiskering at the hips will add the illusion of curvier hips and flap-type back pockets will add fullness to your bottom.
3. Choose full, tiered, or bubble skirts of any length. Pair with shirts that provide an equal amount of volume to your bust and shoulders to create an hourglass effect.
4. Find skirts with details, seaming or pockets that add the illusion of curves to your hips. Full, tiered , bubble skirts, or pleat skirt.
Swimsuits
Swimsuits with such figure is dicey but look out for that swim wear which will add the illusion of curves to your figure:
1. Light colored or bold patterned tops with wide-set straps. Choose a padded or push-up top to add curves to your upper half.
2. Ruffled or embellished tops that will draw the eye up adding curves to your upper half.
3. Skirted or ruffled bottoms in a light, bright or bold pattern will help ad curves to your hips.
4. Choose light, bright or patterned bottoms with a mid to low rise waist that cuts straight across your hips. Choose bottoms with ties or hip embellishments to add the illusion of curves.
5. One piece bathing suits with a criss-cross front, or with embellishment around the hips and bust to add the illusion of curves.
6. Choose tankinis with ruffles or embellishments around the bust and hips to add illusions of curves.

Enhance the effect with a dark colored waist.

ANOTHER BODY TYPE, PEAR SHAPED:

This type of shape is sometimes called triangle, the hips are larger than the bust and the lady have a nicely defined waist with an elegant neck and proportionately slim arms and shoulders. One first gain weight in your bottom and legs flowed by your tummy and upper body. Ones’ waist is the best asset , don’t be afraid to show it off. Or better still, Pear-shaped women have a petite upper body characterized by a slender neck, narrow shoulders, small bust and rib cage, shapely waist, and a fuller lower body with generous hips and thighs. For the most flattering look, you should look for a dress that plays up your slender waist and sexy shoulders while minimizing the hip and thigh area.

Tops for a Pear Body Shape:
When dressing a pear body type, look for tops that will help balance your lower half while accentuating your defined waist:
1. Tops with nipped or fitted waists, like Billowy tops that add volume to the bust with a snug fitted waist. One can also add flutter or princess sleeves for a more dramatic effect.
2. Off the shoulder tops, boat-neck tops, wide V or U necks tops, also Shirts with a fitted waist, and embellishments around the bust and shoulders to balance your lower half is a perfect Yes too
3. Wear wrap shirts that emphasize your small waist with full or structured shoulders and a wide neckline. Wear a padded bra to bring out an enhanced effect.
4. Jackets with full or structured shoulders and a nipped-in waist in hip-length. Draw attention to your bust with pockets or details. Stay away from lower pockets.
5. Off the shoulder shirts or shirts with wide necklines and a fitted or nipped-in waist will widen and draw attention to your slim shoulders and emphasize your small waist.
6. Find dress shirts with embellishments around the bust and shoulders, with a darted waistline.

dont worry, as you read on with more illustrations on the rest shapes, i believe u will understand what am posting. smiley all these terms are certain name tags on different shapes and sizes of women.

The next shape size of a lady is the SPOON SHAPE.

A Spoon Body type (sometimes called figure cool, your hips are larger than your bust and you have a defined waist. Your hips have a “shelf” appearance, you are prone to gain weight around your tummy region, also gain weight in your upper thighs and upper arms. Your lower legs and arms are shapely and your best assets.
