An Abuja-based politician (name withheld) faced an embarrassing moment when his very expensive automobile, Mercedes Benz G-Wagon refused to wag or move on a highway.

The visibly disappointed politician had to seek the help of a nonprofessional technician popular known as road-side mechanic and support of a rickety towing-vehicle to pull the multi-million naira car from its immobile position.

While many Nigerians had called on the government for necessary support in skill acquisition and empowerment for the road-side mechanics, some politicians, perhaps including the owner of the faulty vehicle, have always overlooked such important request.

But ironically the political leaders can turn to the semiskilled mechanics in a bad moment like this.
