JOHESU met alongside with the Professional Associations in NUAHP to appraise the On – going strike action, Yayale Ahmed report and other issues.

At the end of the meeting the following resolutions were taken:
That members of our various Unions at the Units/ state branches should observe fasting and prayer sessions on Tuesday, 20th of January, 2015 at their various institutions, asking God to touch the heart of the government to accede to our demands.

Wednesday, 21st January, 2015,members should proceed on mass rally/protest at the state capitals, conduct press conferences /briefing and interviews.

Thursday, 22nd January, 2015, Professional Associations/Union should hold mass rallies, press conferences, briefing, informing the media with the happenings in the Health sector.

The Presidents of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) will be contacted to facilitate a meeting with Mr. President.

Traditional rulers, all well meaning Nigerians will be contacted in reaching out to Mr. President.

JOHESU is to write a reminder to the government reminding them of the 22nd December, 2014, promise that within three (3) weeks positive steps would have been taken to see Mr. President about the adjustment of CONHESS salary and other issues.

All Professional Associations in NUAHP had been directed to submit their observations and amended areas in the Yayale Ahmed committee as it affects their Professional bodies to this email address: nigerianurses2000@gmail.com to be submitted on or before Tuesday, 20th January, 2015 for onward compilation.
You are encouraged to disregard any form of intimidation from your management and sustain the strike.

Well am sure of Lagos state, Ondo state, Ekiti state , Kwara state!

so let's pretend it's true, so out of 36 states 3 resumed and and u don't think the strike is still serious?. now listen Lagos are still on strike this am sure but the other 2 states am not sure but sure that no federal hospital in those two states are working may be state workers .remember u said "all" the states have resumed .

ENUGU state hospitals started strike before JOHESU strike. they have their own issue with their governor about implementing the salary scale other parts of Nigeria has been enjoying since 2009.so they have resolved it with the government who promised to implement it this February after the February salary and if the Johesu strike is still on they will join.

This still doesn't explain the reason why they shouldn't join the strike, all JOHESU state chapters have their separate issues with the state government. I'm sure if what the national JOHESU is agitating for makes sense with reality, then it should be of topmost priority than the monetary issues between state chapters and the state governments.

What concerns me is the nonchalant attitude of Mr president to the basic needs of a nation, ASUU had to go on strike for almost a year before their issue can be addressed, doctors went and now d oda part of the hospitals are now on strike.. all these strikes where dey planned or is it d incompetence of Mr President on a show glass.. it is a pitiable state.
