Many Nigerians are beginning to be concerned with the rate of arson being perpetrated across the nation especially in the North. From Plateau to Zamfara, Bauchi, Gombe, Rivers, etc it is one case of lives and properties destruction or another. This is inspite of assurances from the two major candidates. Reports also have it that many families have began to relocate to 'safer' places, due to perceived threats and with hindsight of the 2011 post-election violence.

There are clear indications that the elections would not be violence free except solders are deployed now. Clearly our Police CANNOT handle the likely crisis that may result from the elections. An initial 40000 men should be deployed across the Nation now as a first instance to forestall violence.

As commander in chief, GEJ should realise that no one else will be held responsible if there is breakdown of law and order, hence he has no option than to to act now as the C-in-C. With soldiers patrolling the major cities, trouble makers round be kept at bay.

This may not be a popular opinion, but as the saying goes " leadership is not a popularity contest."

when I was younger I used to think Nigeria would be better but from the way things are going it will be easier for Osama bin laden to make heaven than for us to get a better Nigeria. people die in numbers and yet the incumbent government and those power craving demons keep playing politics with the whole issue. Lord please Nigeria needs ur surgery. In your own way get rid of all those who are bent on impoverishing and enslaving Nigerians IJN
